We also offer a number of special services including a commuter meal plan and an active commuter student organization. ACADEMIC SUCCESS Evening Business Degree Completion Program: Students transferring to Meredith
with an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science, or students enrolling in Meredith to pursue a second degree in business administration, are eligible for the evening business degree completion program. All business courses are offered on campus in the evenings. To complete the program within two years, students must have fulfilled all general education requirements. Learning Center: The Learning Center provides free, one-on-one tutoring to any
Meredith student who needs assistance with foreign languages, mathematics, science, and writing for all subjects. Internships: An essential part of the Meredith experience. Our strong reputation
among employers locally and nationally means students have plenty of options when it comes to finding the right internship. Recent internships held by Meredith students include Credit Suisse, NC Museum of Art, SAS Institute, Rex Wellness Centers, and GlaxoSmithKline.
STUDENT LIFE Clubs and organizations: Meredith has more than 100 clubs and organizations including
the student government association, class councils, publications, event planning, service organizations, religious affiliations, and honor societies. Lowery Fitness Center: Students work out in the Lowery Fitness Center, which includes
treadmills, elliptical cross trainers, rowers, power lifting racks, and much more. New to working out? Take advantage of free fitness classes and personal trainers. Traditions: Meredith offers many unique and lasting traditions – a great opportunity

LET US REWARD YOUR HARD WORK. ARTICULATION AGREEMENTS Students who complete the Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) at a North Carolina community college with a minimum of 60 transferrable hours and an average of C or higher may enter Meredith with junior standing. All general education requirements for the B.A. will be met with the exception of foreign language and physical learning requirements. In addition to guaranteed transfer of all eligible credit hours, these students are eligible for scholarships and need-based financial aid, and may register early with the junior class. Students who complete the Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) degree at a North Carolina community college and meet performance-based requirements as determined by Meredith’s art, theatre, or music department’s performance standard will enter Meredith with all general education requirements for the B.A. met with the exception of foreign language and physical learning requirements.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS In addition to need-based federal, state, and institutional financial aid that is available to all students who qualify, academic merit scholarships are earmarked specifically for transfer students. Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship
Students who are inducted into Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the honor society for two-year colleges, and have at least 30 hours of transfer credit are eligible to receive Meredith’s Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship, an annual award of $5,000. This scholarship is renewable for up to six consecutive semesters and requires full-time enrollment. Proof of induction into Phi Theta Kappa is required. This scholarship can be combined with Academic Incentive Scholarships. Academic Incentive Scholarships
Students transferring from a regionally accredited community college, two-year institution, or four-year institution are considered at the time of admission for merit-based tuition grants and scholarships of up to $12,000 a year. Merit-based tuition grants and scholarships are renewable for up to six consecutive semesters and require full-time enrollment.

TRANSFER ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS To be considered for admission, transfer applicants
• must have a minimum of 30 transferrable college credits with at least 18 hours that meet Meredith’s General Education requirements. Students with fewer than 30 transferrable college credits or more than 30 transferrable hours but less than 18 transferrable General Education credits must meet first-year application requirements including submission of a high school transcript and an SAT or ACT score. • must have a C or higher in a college transferrable math class at an accredited institution, or have completed Algebra I, II, and Geometry in high school. • must have at least an overall C average on all courses attempted at post-secondary institutions. • must be in good standing and eligible to return to the last institution regularly attended.
