LAP Electrical is an established name in the development and production of automotive electromechanical products with over 25 years’ experience within the OEM and aftermarket sectors in the construction, agricultural and road-going vehicle markets.

LAP is a privately owned company employing 85 people at our 3000m² site in Birmingham, UK which combines production, design and management functions. We have developed an efficient and flexible manufacturing and distribution operation, making us ideally placed to respond to production demands and new design opportunities.

ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE LAP Electrical is at heart an engineering company with new product design and continuous development of our existing range being central to our ability to provide a first class service to all of our customers. Our extensive engineering capabilities (including 3D CAD facilities) enable us to work closely with other businesses to ensure all of our products meet their requirements.

Our vehicle specific product ranges such as Fuel Senders and PCV Valves are custom designed in tandem with our O.E. customers in the automotive and construction sectors. However, our focus on engineering excellence applies equally to the Emergency Lighting, Commercial Vehicle Lighting and Reversing Safety ranges that are showcased in this catalogue.

Our design, quality and product engineering teams are totally integrated at our manufacturing base in Birmingham enabling us to bring new innovations to market rapidly whilst building a responsive partnership with all our clients, whatever their size.

FLEXIBLE MANUFACTURING Ongoing investment in the latest automated assembly plant and equipment has enabled us to expand our total production capability to more than 2 ½ million finished units per annum. This along with the flexibility of our multi-skilled labour force allows us to tailor production in-line with client requirements.

With a 900m² warehouse unit adjacent to our manufacturing base, we work with the leading distribution companies to ensure our products are rapidly delivered to customers worldwide.

Accreditation to the TS16949 quality management standard is a cornerstone of our position as a key supplier to major manufacturers in the automotive world such as Ford and Jaguar Land Rover. However, it is just one part of our overall product focus – we also incorporate electronic test facilities for 100% checking at the end of our assembly lines and are always working to reinforce the reputation for quality and reliability that the LAP brand carries.
