HP DOUBLE WATERMAKER FOR NEW SUNSEEKER
Stephen Hills is elected SYUK chair British Marine group Superyacht UK (SYUK), has elected Stephen Hills as the new chair of the committee. Stephen will combine this role with being commercial director of Pendennis Shipyard. He succeeds Jeff Houlgrave, who will remain on the SYUK committee. “I am delighted to be appointed to the role of chair,” said Stephen. “I look forward to working with SYUK members and the wider superyacht industry to utilise our collective skills to promote the SYUK brand and its members around the world and ensure that the UK's superyacht industry continues to thrive.” He added: “I would like to extend my thanks to Jeff Houlgrave for his term of leadership which has put us in a great position to build on the progress made over the last three years.” Six new committee members have also been elected including James Ward (Marine Resources), Chloe Buchanan (The MTM Agency), Jane Smith (Pantaenius), Ian Hughes (Holman Fenwick Willan), Matteo Magherini (Lateral Naval Architects) and Mike Herrebrugh (Sevenstar). 16 | JUNE 2021
Sunseeker has chosen an HP watermaker for its new 90ft yacht. The 90 Ocean is 20% larger than her predecessor with a 4m by 6m deck and hydraulic platform with space for a JetSki, 15ft SportJet and two seabobs. With a range of up to 1,800 nautical miles and a maximum speed of 26 knots, the 90 Ocean has accommodation for eight to ten guests plus four crew. On board will be the HP SCD 540 RP TRONIC, a double watermaker capable of producing a total of 540 litres per hour through two units which can be used independently or in tandem. Weighing 158kg the unit is available in a range of voltages - 110V 60Hz, 230V 50Hz, 230V 60Hz, 380V 50Hz and 440V 60Hz.
Controllable virtually using HP's BiBi interface, each unit comprises a remote control panel, three-way automatic flushing system, AISI 316 automatic pressure regulation system, AISI 316 LOWARA 2HMS3 booster pump and AISA 316 high
presume pump W99. The electrical switchboard features configurable parameters and a diagnostic system with alarmed pressure and salinity control systems. Each unit has two
composite pressure vessels and two HYDRANAUTICS membranes. Measuring 1100mm by 500mm by 600mm, each separate unit has an analogical gauge meter, a digital gauge meter (pressure sensor), digital flow meter and a cartridge inlet pre-filtration (charcoal + 5 micron).
