Malik Forrester Summer Program Manager Lead / Alumna 14
Malik, MMI’s very first mentee and a proud graduate of Fresno State University, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s in Education His journey reflects full-circle leadership rising from Division I coach to physical education teacher and assistant athletic director This breadth of experience allowed him to guide our summer program with passion, excellence, and a deep understanding of youth development. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Malik brought mentorship, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to empowering young people. His ability to connect authentically, model discipline, and inspire confidence made him not only a leader but also a role model whose impact continues to resonate with our community
Trayvien Reynolds Youth Camp Lead / 4th-year Student
Trayvien, affectionately known as Tray, is a rising leader and proud graduate of Dunbar High School’s Class of 2025. Kenniya Robinson Youth Camp Coach / 5th Year Student
Kenniya has been a part of Mentoring Mentors Inc. since her sixth-grade year at Windsor Hills Elementary/Middle School She is a phenomenal student at Bard High School, where she graduated with both a high school diploma and an Associate in Arts degree earning up to 60 transferable college credits along the way Though naturally shy, Kenniya is deeply loving and kind, qualities that shine through in every space she enters. This fall, she will continue her journey at Louisiana State University (LSU), carrying forward her resilience, brilliance, and heart.

Tajiel has been involved with Mentoring Mentors Inc. since his high school years and is a proud member of the Class of 2018 He went on to graduate from Stevenson University, earning a degree in Arts and Fashion Design From the very beginning, Tajiel played a key role in the Leaders Program's inception, serving as a camp counselor and helping shape its foundation Today, he remains a pivotal mentor whose lived experience and passion for mentorship inspire young people. Summer Impact
Research indicates that students from underresourced communities often lose up to three months of math skills and two months of reading progress during the summer. MMI program was designed to counter that reality by offering a real impact driving solutions and delivering a highquality experience for our young people. 63% of our participants did not participate in a Structured summer program in 2024.
