Sport and Performance Psychology is a growing field with many branching opportunities. Over the last 15 years, performance psychology has expanded from elite athletics into the health and exercise fields, corporate consulting, change management, performing arts, music, and tactical populations.

Students are encouraged to find internships in their preferred performance field but our program field placement in athletics to acquire their necessary certification hours.

FUTURE CERTIFICATION
This program includes all the necessary coursework and supervised internship opportunities to prepare you to become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. The CMPC is the only mental performance certification recognized by the NCAA.
Certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant demonstrates to clients, employers, colleagues, and the public at large that an individual has met the highest standards of professional practice, including completing a combination of educational and work requirements, successfully passing a certification exam.
