01 INTRODUCTION
IKEA was founded seven decades ago,
in the farmlands of SmĂĽland, Sweden. The world has changed a lot since then, and so has IKEA . But even as the major global retailer, we always stay true to our values of being thrifty with what we already have, working together and turning challenges into possibilities. Today, these values are more relevant than ever, as society faces some of the greatest social and environmental challenges of our time.
