The Digital Culture Center emerges from the need to incorporate a facility in the Los Mártires locality that can integrate, document, and educate the community. This involves not only physical documentation like books and magazines, but also the use of audiovisual media that engage the public to establish a sense of belonging to their residential area, while taking advantage of the technological advances of our era.
Project Model - detail scale
In the design’s development, the concepts of fragmentation and path are utilized. Fragmentation is achieved through the displacement of two volumes via voids, skylights, and pits in the building’s interior and exterior. The path concept is explored through the displacement perceived in interior and exterior spaces, both longitudinally and radially along the transversal axis, connecting with central spaces.

CEPEC - An Urban-Industrial Connection. A linear park design linking Bogotá’s eco-leather industrial district with surrounding neighborhoods. The project integrates pedestrian corridors, bike paths, and public gathering spaces while celebrating the area’s manufacturing heritage through materials and design elements.
The Tunjuelo River has witnessed transformations based on historical events and different land uses that have converted its surroundings into a multidisciplinary space in function of territorial development, largely due to the natural and environmental richness that characterizes it. This dynamic character of the territory allows for studies and proposals to address its problems, with the historically imposed challenge of giving continuity to the territory’s identity based on its potential. Therefore, the CEPEC project proposal is developed as an alternative solution to the problems that history has left behind, based on the study and analysis of the Tunjuelo River. Emphasizing the San Benito sector, which brings together diverse potentialities and weaknesses that form an identity.
Project Title: Brand Redesign
What visionary urban design proposal can alleviate the social, environmental, and economic challenges posed by industrial activities on the Tunjuelo River, uplift families in high-risk areas, enhance the diversity of uses, seamlessly reconnect fragmented territories, and rejuvenate the environmental quality of our urban space, all while harnessing the unique potential of the San Benito neighborhood?

This 103m2 penthouse terrace transforms an overlooked urban space into a lush private sanctuary. Despite being surrounded by tall buildings with limited direct sunlight, our design creates distinct zones for dining, lounging, and wellness through strategic vertical gardens and potted trees. A woven pergola draped with climbing vines provides dappled shade while adding visual depth. The spa area, featuring a jacuzzi, shower, and bathroom, is seamlessly integrated into this elevated forest retreat. By layering various plant heights and textures, we’ve crafted an immersive natural escape that defies its concrete surroundings.

The Hooker-Bush Garden House: A Caribbean Bioclimatic Design
Located in San Andrés Island’s El Bight neighborhood, this residential project embraces tropical living through thoughtful landscape integration and sustainable design. The architectural concept responds to the island’s humid climate by incorporating natural ventilation, utilizing northeast trade winds, and implementing rainwater harvesting systems. The landscaping strategy features distinct zones - a social patio, butterfly garden, and wild meadow - each planted with native and adapted species like Delonix regia, Manila palms, and coastal vegetation that create natural microclimates and enhance biodiversity.
Client Name: John Johnson
The design emphasizes outdoor living with carefully crafted transitions between interior and exterior spaces. Stone pathways, elevated planters, and strategic lighting create ambient spaces for gathering while supporting the home’s bioclimatic performance. The plant palette combines ornamental species offering vibrant colors with functional vegetation providing shade and temperature regulation, all selected to thrive in the coastal environment while minimizing maintenance requirements.
The project documentation includes detailed planting plans, irrigation systems, lighting design, and construction specifications that align with local building codes and sustainable practices. This comprehensive approach ensures the successful implementation of a resilient landscape that enhances both the property’s aesthetics and environmental performance.
