01Farm House
8TH SEMESTER-DESIGN VII LOCATION: ISRA VILLAGE,HYDERABAD
It’s no coincidence that when people feel suffocated by the bustle and hustle of city life, they tend to travel back to the countryside to refresh their minds.
The farmhouses are designed in varied manners from traditional to modern. But all have the rural or agricultural flavour. Farmhouses are spread in a modest to a huge chunk of land with large front porches.
Typically, a farmhouse is a type of a house, which serves a residential purpose in an agricultural setting. It is surrounded by a farm or a well landscaped garden. These can also be called as country houses, away from one’s residential address, where one can go to spend some time in the lap of nature.

The farmhouse site includes cozy bedroom huts, pools, horse stable, birds cages, pond, bbq area, indoor and outdoor sitting area, parking.
Step 1
Square blocks linked with centrally located square block.
Step 2
Square blocks divided in small squares and link with centrally located polygon which serves lounge or indoor sitting.
Step 3
Small squares then converted into small polygons. These polygon serves as rooms.
Step 4
Small polygons as rooms are connected with corridors linked with centre polygon.
The theme of the farm house is based on the maldivan concept which is coonection with the nature. Rooms have views of pool and greenary on all sides Gives a pleasing view from the rooms and the corridors which are connected with central lounge area
The theme of maldivian is boased on modern plus ancient japenese architecture. The purpose of this theme based on the concept of connecting people with nature through simple material and architecture.
The proposed site for design is located near the Isra Foundation, Hyderabad city, Pakistan. The plot has a rectangular shape, its dimension are 200’-0” x 350’-0”. The plan includes the outdoor activities, block plan and placement of every element in the site.

Mountains are the natural element which connects us with the nature. The concept was developed on the basis of the connection and its benefits. It will be a pleasure and peaceful to enjoy the nature while eating.
Step 1
Taking the two small circles which combines with centre circle which helps to build the shape of the building.
Step 2
Then, merging the circles and subtracting the necessary sides in order to maintain the shape of the building.
Step 3
Shape of the building after the neglecting the extra parts and balancing with addition of some other shape in order to give the form to the building.
Step 4
This is the final form of the building which gives the vision of mountain and gives us natural connection to the building.

The west side elevaton shows the entrance side of the restaurant. The main door opens into the car parking.
This section shows the details of all floor plans of the restaurant building. Car parking, Dinning halls, and details of the height of each floor including the doors, arches and windows.
This section shows other details of the restaurant building. Arches inside of dinning halls are anciet type which reflects the culture of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan
