EmployeeRelations Group Human Resources Bursa Malaysia Berhad 50200 Kuala Lumpur 1 September 2014 TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN Dear Sirs, Ms Melody Kwa had an internship with the Employee Relations department of Bursa Malaysia May to July 2014. During this short period, she provided great assistance to an array of tasks assigned to her. She displayed a strong sense of commitment and delivered the assignments par excellence. She started off being given an insight to organization-wide action planning geared to improving employee engagement on corporate wide, divisional and job grade levels to be undertaken this year based on the employee engagement survey conducted in 2013.She showed quick grasp of the subject matter and provided inputs to solutions. Ms Kwa was also tasked to arrange a site recognize exercise of i-City to assess suitability of the venue in preparation of Bursa’s Family Carnival 2014. Involved throughout the entire phase of the event, she displayed unwavering dedication staying late to complete tasks. Notable to all these was a sequence of spectacular e-backdrop which she designed for display on a giant LED backdrop screen in i-City. She consistently put her creativity and versality into perfect use with a series of teaser posters for most employee engagement endeavours. Ms Kwa solely mooted out a series of quick-win employee engagement initiative called “Dress Down Fridays “. These include Footilicious Friday during the World season and “Traditional Friday“ during the raya festivity season. Ms Kwa combined her photography skills with her cheerful disposition beckoning staff to pose for photographs which she then create posters at post production. Ms Kwa did a few presentations on ways to increase the level of employee engagement in Bursa. She consistently provided psychology perspective to these works. She is an intelectually inquistive individual who never hesitate to share her views and ideas. Despite the relatively short stint, we gave her maximum exposure to the realms of functions under the Employee & Industrial Relations. Ms Kwa has displayed confidence and independence in all situations presented to her. In the course of undertaking the assignments meted out to her, she showed good leadership potential and the ability to adapt quickly given the fact that she did not have any prior experience. We have full confidence that she will succeed in her future endeavors. With her intelligence, talent and pleasant personality, she will definitely be an asset to any organization she joins.
