9 x 12-inch "marshmallow golem" Markers
A comic-like scene of a 'marshmallow golem' which is stood in a forest. On the right is a mind map and the plan in a sketchbook, which enabled me to gather ideas so I could create the two thumbnail sketches for the developed piece.
9 x 12-inch "dystopia and utopia"
Graphite and markers
As part of the development for my A-level personal investigation, this artwork explores the concepts of dystopia and utopia. Dystopia being communicated through the graphite skull representing death and suffering, inspired by the artist Boris Groh. Utopia being communicated through the vibrant 'doodles' representing freedom and happiness, inspired by the artist Vexx.
On the right side is an A2 development sheet showing my plans for the composition of the skull, and the colour combinations.
