PLAN PARTI: The intention behind the design of the plan was to create a circulation path that allows users to seamlessly use the building as a shortcut, connecting the residential community to Queen Street. This parti also highlights major features, including the structural grid and the central atrium.

ELEVATION PARTI: This drawing is a representation of the building in elevation. It shows the vertical circulation path that begins elements are another major feature of the design; they are resting points which people can use to take a break and admire the site.

02 THE PARKDALE LIBRARY DEVELOPMENT

Year: 3rd Year

Project: Library Partner: Desiree Llanes

This project is a continuation of The Parkdale Library. We worked in pairs to further develop the project in more detail. My partner and I decided to take the most critical components from our designs and mix them into one. This lead to a deeper study of spaces and their relationship to one another.

SECTIONAL MODEL

The site on Queen St. West gave us an opportunity to utilize the building as a community hub. Our design approach to the building was to immediately address the surrounding environment. The main focus of the building is to create a sense of connectivity through variations of openness, transparency, and the intertwine of different spaces.

04 THE UNDERGROUND

Year: 4th Year

Project: Dystopian Film

Synopses:

Set in a dystopian future shaped by economic inequality, a catastrophic housing crisis, and overpopulation, The Unconquered Land explores the resilience of the human spirit. As society collapses, the middle class is driven into homelessness, unable to afford basic needs. Among them are students who, unable to sustainground community led by their educators.

What begins as a desperate attempt at survival evolves into a radical experiment in social equality, developing into a thriving socialist utopia.

2070: The OASIS Discovery

The last scene in the short film created for this project ends with this image: ‘the OASIS discovery’

This image takes place at the lowest point of the excavation where the community discovers an underground lake.

The scene represents a sign of hope for the community.

The discovery of unclaimed raw resources will help the community detach from society, eventually becoming an independent civilization.

This design build project was an amazing experience, teaching me more about teamwork, how to break down the design into smaller components, and how to use many new tools. This was one of my favorites experience during my bachelors degree. T h e F l o a

The Floating Garden is a versatile space where people may seek a moment of rest for the chaotic city of Toronto. The installation has three different modules which can be rearranged. It involves a bench, an arched threshold, and a cantilevered table. The design that have the ability to be rearranged throughout the structure, leaving the opportunity to further add more plants.
