One-off Events Sunday 8th January, 10.00am - 3.00pm Melbourn Community NHS Health and Wellbeing Day
Services include Covid-19 vaccines for those eligible, child immunisation checks, general lifestyle advice and free NHS MOTs.
Wednesday 25th January, 7.00 - 9.00pm Community Support for Dementia Event
The purpose of this event is to reach out to family members, friends, and personal carers who are caring for loved ones ‘living with dementia’ and for those ‘living with dementia’ in their own homes. It will predominantly be of interest to those who have recently received a diagnosis or are at a stage whereby you may think your loved one could have dementia but is unwilling to seek any medical help or advice. Chris Elsley, of ‘Forget Me Knot Training’ will be giving an introduction and understanding into the most common types of dementia. There will also be information and advice available on local dementia-friendly activities and groups, benefits that you will be entitled to after diagnosis, care agencies offering sitting services, day centres and personal care and carers’ cafés.
