The work in this portfolio is but a small collection of the vast number of projects of which I’ve been fortunate to participate and collaborate with so many talented people. I can say without hesitation that I think I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and diverse people in the industry who have taught me so much about myself, and the way I work. I’m a passionate designer I love to learn new processes especially when I tell myself I’m “discovering” something new.

At heart I’m a product designer, my background in Industrial Design has fuelled my curiosity of how things work and why they work the way they do. This is something that I have taken with me in every medium that I’ve dabbled in. Sometime after college I worked with a folk calendar manufacturing company and was introduced to the beauty of paper and I haven’t looked back since.

O B J EC T I V E : Create and develop a brand which would cater to a grocery consumer. This program was created and developed for a private client. On further development Navajo Inc., decided to keep the brand in its own general merchandise program and develop a clip strip program comparable to competitors.

This garnered great feedback and was proven to be a sales success.

MAXX EYEWEAR RE-BRAND

O B J EC T I V E : In 2018 Maxx Eyewear, a nationally recognized outdoor eyewear brand, was bought by Navajo Inc., with the intent to expand the successful outdoor lifestyle brand. Through collaboration, a re-brand was successful in establishing the spirit of the outdoors while maintaining and growing brand loyal customers and establishing new customers across platforms. This included elevated photography, updated imagery and a consistent brand message that stayed true to the core Maxx customer. In 2020 Maxx Eyewear showed successful growth in the e-Commerce platforms and has continued to grow with new loyal customers.

ARABAZAAR GALLERY

O B J EC T I V E : Create and develop a brand identity and voice for an imported brand from Egypt. Although the brand has a consistent and stable client base in Egypt, it was entirely new to the US market.

The challenge was to soften the brand in the US market to be relatable, and authentic without compromising on quality. Through collaborations with the Egyptian team, I was able to soften the logo and create a pattern that was consistent with its middle eastern roots while appealing to the higher end of the U.S. market.

PIRANHA EYEWEAR CATALOG

O B J EC T I V E : To create an eyewear catalog that could be utilized by the external/internal sales team to help sell the brand and the products. This catalog was also distributed to retail members and online customers. This catalog was well received for its simplicity, elegance and photography. Its mission to provide insightful industry information and feature elegant sunglasses was well received by the internal and external sales team.

PIRANHA EYEWEAR

O B J EC T I V E : Created social media branding, marketing campaigns to increase online presence and establish Piranha Eyewear as an eyewear brand in a tight sunglass market. These included web banners, and social media banners/posts that were converted to ads. The result was an increase in overall online sales as well as a recognized presence in the online market. O B J EC T I V E : Navajo Inc. is a parent company of various brands in the industry. The purpose of this presentation was to research trends, colors, products and demographics to understand the future of graphic, and product design a year in advance. This required attending shows, seminars, and heavy market research to present once a year to the internal partners to help them understand trends in their respective market. This included videos, and extra collateral to help with external sales. This was presented each year; which sparked a renewal or discussions and healthy internal collaborations.

O B J EC T I V E : In collaboration with a graphic artist named Ligia Teodosiu, we created a branding look for a volunteer brass band group consisting of 20+ members. The overall idea was a throwback to the minstrel type of pageantry for brass bands. We wanted to avoid any feeling of collegic brass bands, while maintaining a fun an whimsical approach.

To represent SDG Fanfara Soli Deo Gloria in a simple and clean design for their third album. Collaborating with the internal executive team and communication was key to completing this cover. (SDG Fanfara Soli Deo Gloria is a fanfare brass band; a collaboration between Romanian Baptist Church of Metropolitan Chicago and Golototha Romanian Pentecostal Church - Non-forprofit Organization).

PRODUCT DESIGN C L I E N T:

EASTERN ACCENTS PRODUCT DESIGN

O B J EC T I V E : Design a holiday collection based on a Nordic theme to introduce into the market in Fall of 2012. Collection includes Christmas tree skirts, Christmas stockings and decorative pillows. I designed, created, prototyped, and manufactured the stamps used in the large mass production of the products.

PRODUCT DESIGN CL IENT: EASTERN ACCENTS PRODUCT DESIGN

O B J EC T I V E : To design a line of decorative pillows that are themed on Americana. I collaborated with the design team to introduce these items for Spring 2012 season.

The pillows are block printed on burlap fabric. I was given the opportunity to design the stamps and set them for production.
