Meinhardt started to work in Beijing in the late 80’s and initially was involved in government and institutional projects including Canadian Commission Beijing, Beijing SPF Laboratories for CSIRO/Australia etc.

In 2001, Meinhardt set up a permanent establishment in Beijing in the form of a Representative Office. In 2005, formed a wholly owned foreign enterprise (WOFE) office. Meinhardt Beijing now employs over 90 permanent staff and is managed by Mr. Tony Yu, Managing Director. Beijing Office offers comprehensive consulting engineering services independently for all types of construction projects.
