The Envelope Replacement Project involved replacing the building’s deteriorated brick exterior and windows with a modern façade of curtain wall and porcelain panels.
I joined the project during the Construction Document stage and contributed to the development of drawing sets for IFC issuance. My role includes detailing the curtain wall panels and exterior façade and collaborating with the client on interior changes.
At the IFC stage, I took charge of the contract administration role, overseeing RFIs, submittals, and architectural site instructions. I also traveled occasionally to the project site in Ottawa to review construction progress, engage with the contracting team, and coordinate field testing when requested by the client. I coordinated closely with consultants, the general contractor, and the client’s team to ensure smooth project execution.
Technical drawings are available upon request.
MACDONALD BLOCK RECONSTRUCTION
First Heritage Restoration P3 Project
Largest Provincial Government Building in Canada ($2.2B)
Toronto, Ontario

This project marked my first opportunity to independently design spaces as part of a multi-year, multi-phased construction plan. I initiated the renovation with a hot food service area and a self-serve kiosk coffee shop.
Using Humber College’s color palette, I incorporated bright yellow to create a vibrant and welcoming space for customers in one of the busiest campus corridors. Creating a playful and fun space to experience.

I also transformed a previously neglected corridor into a dynamic “Tech Zone,” inspired by the video game Snake. Corian posts formed a continuous line for countertops, complemented by white floor tiles for a cohesive look.
Thus came the development of a blank wall into an immersive, interactive display with full RGB LED lights that interact with users as they pass by the wall, cycling through different patterns throughout the months to represent the theme of that month.

Humber Phase 2 was a transformative project that redefined the campus experience by linking the old and new corridors, creating a central retail corridor with a vibrant mall-like atmosphere.
Anchored by the Humber bookstore, the renovation unified six campus buildings, turning a previously dark, neglected entry into an inviting, accessible space.

Reflective tiles and ceilingmounted floral installations brighten the interiors, while cozy student pods are thoughtfully integrated along formerly unused walls, offering private, functional study spaces. This project reimagines campus flow and revitalizes student engagement with Humber’s core spaces.

QUEENSWAY DAYCARE AND HERITAGE PROPERTY
I designed an activityfocused addition to the north side of a heritage church property in Burlington, ON, while converting the existing church into office space for an adjoining private daycare.
On the same site, developed plans for a multi-level building to house a Montessori daycare facility.
