The North and North West Show Jumping Club (NNWSJC) would like to welcome you to our seventh Tamworth World Cup Show. We have spent many hours planning and organising what we hope will be another great event.
We thank all of our sponsors and supporters – without your generous contribution our show would not be possible. For sponsors and those with trade stands who have been with us for many years, thank you for your continued support and assisting us in creating a wonderful atmosphere year after year.
To our competitors, many of whom have travelled far to compete at this year’s World Cup Show – thank you. To those of you attending our event for the first time, we welcome you. We have over 270 riders competing across four days and are excited with the quality line-up of competitors entered in our CSI1*-W.
On behalf of the NNWSJC committee, whether you are riding, supporting, or simply spectating, we hope you have an enjoyable time in Tamworth. We wish you all the best of luck. Ride well, ride safe.

The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) expects all those involved in international equestrian sport to adhere to the FEI’s Code of Conduct and to acknowledge and accept that at all times the welfare of the horse must be paramount and must never be subordinated to competitive or commercial influences.
1. At all stages during the preparation and training of competition horses, welfare must take precedence over all other demands. This includes good horse management, training methods, farriery and tack, and transportation.
2. Horses and Athletes must be fit, competent and in good health before they are allowed to compete. This encompasses medication use, surgical procedures that threaten welfare or safety, pregnancy in mares and the misuse of aids.
3. Events must not prejudice horse welfare. This involves paying careful attention to the competition areas, ground surfaces, weather conditions, stabling, site safety and fitness of the horse for onward travel after the event.
4. Every effort must be made to ensure that horses receive proper attention after they have competed and that they are treated humanely when their competition careers are over. This covers proper veterinary care, competition injuries, euthanasia and retirement.
5. The FEI urges all involved with the sport to attain the highest levels of education in their areas of expertise.
A full copy of this Code can be obtained from the Fédération Equestre Internationale, HM King Hussein I Building, Chemin de la Joliette 8, 1006 Lausanne, Switzerland. Telephone: +41 21 310 47 47. The Code is available in English and French. The Code is also available on the FEI’s website: www.fei.org

Open from 7.30am, Thursday to Sunday. The event office may be closed on occasion.
Draws will be published on Global the evening prior to the day’s classes.
The Indoor Arena takes precedence over all arenas and will run strictly to draw order. Riders that do not adhere to draw order will be eliminated. While draw order is preferable in Arena 2 and 3, both arenas will run using a whiteboard draw. Competitors in Arena 2 and 3 are to advise the marshal if they are scratching from a class once it has started. Riders not presenting to the marshal within 5 minutes after the ‘Final Call’, risk missing their class. Riders who are competing on multiple horses in the one class are asked to organise their rounds and not present at the end of the class with multiple horses to ride.
Refunds will not be given for entries once the show has commenced. Refunds will not be given for missed classes, eliminations or incorrect entries.
Changes can be made on Global using Live Editing. Live editing will open at 7:00am each day and close at 4.00pm. Changes using Live Editing cannot be made on the day, editing must made the day prior. An exception to changes will only apply to any class still running after the 4.00pm cut-off time. In the case of horse/rider safety, riders in a late class have half an hour after the completion of the said class to make a change at the office for the next day.
A fee will be charged for any change made at the Event Office.
Change of rider can only be made if the new rider is registered as a competitor. If not, an Ambulance and Administration fee must be paid prior to competing.
All riders must be financial members of EA. To compete in official classes (1.05m and over) Competitor Membership must be held. Horses in official classes must hold current EA registration/ performance card and their owner must be a current member. Those competing in unofficial classes must hold a minimum of a Participant Membership with EA.
All riders accepted the conditions of entry and completed a Liability Waiver Form as part of their online entry.
– A horse can have TWO STARTS per day
– A horse can only enter a class ONCE
– A horse can only be entered in ONE Tour
– A horse can enter in TWO TSHA classes per day
• Children: Calendar year in which the rider turns 10 to the end of the calendar year they turn 14.
• Junior: Calendar year in which the rider turns 12, until the end of calendar year in which they turn 18.
• Young Rider: Calendar year in which the rider turns 16, to the end of calendar year in which they turn 21.
• Senior: Riders must be 18 years or over on the day of competition.
Formal dress rules apply. Jackets must be worn for all official classes. White or beige/fawn jodhpurs (no coloured jodhpurs), collared shirt and tie, stock or rat-catcher and appropriate footwear. Any person mounted on a horse must be wearing a secured helmet, which must be tagged. Helmet tagging will be available at the event, please ask at the Event Office. Course walks must be carried out in correct attire, coaches are to be neatly dressed.
Rankings to select competitors for Tour Finals will be determined as follows:
Riders will be allocated points according to their result in each qualifier. The first placed starter is allocated as many points as there are starters plus one (1), the remaining competitors will receive points in descending order down to the last placed rider who is allocated one (1) point. For example, in a class with 30 starters, the first placed rider is allocated 31 points, second place 29 points and so on, down to last place who is allocated one point.
Points from both Qualifiers will be added together to determine the competitors that will compete in Tour Finals. The winner of the Tour will be the winner of the Tour Final class.
World Cup horses must not leave the grounds after their FEI check-in on Wednesday 23 August. World Cup competitors must have a stable card (supplied by OC) visible on their World Cup horses stable.
– All Indoor Arena classes: mounted presentation
– Tour Classes: mounted presentation
– Futurity Class: mounted presentation
– JNSW Amateur of the Year Class: mounted pres.
– TSHA Classes: mounted presentation
– All other Classes: ribbons to be collected from the Event Office.
– Indoor and Arena 2 classes will have prizemoney transferred electronically to the competitors nominated bank account. Please ensure these details are complete in your Global account.
– Arena 3 classes can collect their prizemoney from the Event Office.
All competitors, horse owners, grooms, representatives and associates are obliged from their arrival at AELEC, and for duration of the event, to acknowledge and abide by the ‘Codes of Conduct’. Violation of these codes will be dealt with by the respective Ground Jury or Appeal Committee in accordance with the rules and regulations of EA. It is expected that all competitors and their support teams will adhere to the rules of the competition, and show respect for fellow competitors, their horses, officials, administrators and volunteers.
The Organising Committee, Technical Delegate/s, Ground Jury and Officials are responsible for ensuring the following are observed:
– FEI Code of Conduct for the Welfare of the Horse
– All Equestrian Australia Codes of Conduct
– FEI Code of Conduct for Competitors
– Code of Conduct for Warm-up Arenas
All complaints or protests related to the event, whether valid or not, to be presented in legible writing, accompanied by $50 and signed by a single, clearly identified person. Protests must be received within 15 minutes of the completion of the class. When on behalf of a group, one nominated person must sign it on their behalf. Whether any letter of complaint or protest is acted upon is at the sole discretion of the Organising Committee.
Please remember without volunteers this event would be possible. Therefore, please be thoughtful, a thank you is often appreciated.
For riders under the age of 18 wishing to compete on a stallion, please refer to the Stallion Safe Practice rules and regulations on the EA website. These regulations also apply to grooms/handlers of colts/ stallions who are under 18 years.
HC entries will only be accepted at the committee’s discretion. Any HC start will render that horse noncompetitive for that day across all three arenas.
Stabling and camping is overseen by AELEC. NNWSJC cannot assist with any questions or issues that arise in relation to this.
The event will be run under EA/FEI rules. The Organising Committee reserves the right to alter or amend any of the conditions, regulations or any aspect of the event.
All owners and competitors will be personally responsible for damages to any third parties caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses.
