Physical & Digital Assets

This book displays the numerous physical and digital assets I was required to create within my role as the class of 2024 team leader. Creating these assets helped me to achieve my KPI’s of organisation and consistent branding across all areas. All visuals and assets in this book were created by me unless stated otherwise.

Creating and rolling out a branding kit was one of the first things I did when I started this project. This was sent to all teams to be used across all elements of their work regarding Launch Night. This proved to be one of the most important parts of our year group having a cohesive launch night.

DROPBOX FOLDERS, PROGRESS TRACKERS & TEAM CHATS

As soon as the project launched, I set out on several organisational tasks to make life for me and my peers easier. I created a class group chat where we were all able to keep open communication throughout the project.

I also created a progress tracker on google sheets which I sent to my team; this became a very useful tool for us as we could see where we were up to with each individual task.

The last thing I set up was a dropbox account for us to collect photos and videos to feature in our zine, website, and film.

HEADSHOTS

When i first received the headshots from each student I was stumped as they were all very different and didn’t look cohesive as a unit at all. Fortunately after some editing and development I added a pink backgrounfd to each of them. This brought them inline with the branding guidlines and made them look much more chesive as a whole. These headshots were used across both the zine and the website, and aid in readers putting a name to a face; in tyurn being able to identify students work.

QUOTE BANNERS

I created these quote banners to feature students opinions across the website.

I created the template for these banners and then uploaded quotes to that template with some assistance from my team memeber Chloe Bajard.

The banners offer a personal touch to the website, and insight into studenst experiences.

FMP BIO PLAQUES

After learning that the Project Mangement team were wanting plaques to be places next to each students work at launch night, I reached out to them and offered to create the plaques for them.

I also suggested that to improve user experience the qr to each student should feature on their plaques so guests can learn more about the person behind each piece.

This was a good way for our team to integrate the website into the launch night, and allowed me to ensure that the branding was kept on theme.

NAME NAME NAME STUDENT NAME TAGS

Initially I created these name tags to be used on the website as profile titles for each individual student. This was because the website software didn’t have the font we use for branding built in, so I had to import it to ensure a cohesive look. The tags also became useful later on in the project when they were used in the Class of 2024 video that our group produced.

BUSINESS CARDS

BACK

Creating business cards for the launch night was a task that had accidentally been deligated to two teams, however as the lead on branding I suggested that our team should take responsibility for it.

I was given instruction that the cards should feature a collage of students work, thus why the background is various images rather than the blossom theme that runs throughout everything else.

As the blossoms were not used I made certain that every other element was correctly branded, and again encorporated the website qr code to make the card more interactive.

CLASS COMMUNICATION MATERIAL

As our team had to collect lots of information from our year group peers, I would often use visuals to aid with people paying attention to our posts and messages. Whilst these visuals were in line with branding, their more crucial role was to keep everyone informed with deadlines, and to give out important information

For example the image on the top left is a screenshot of a video I sent out giving our peers specific instructions on what we needed them produce in order to be featured in the Class of 2024 film. I think that creating this was a good decision on my part, as it made these tasks stand out within our group pages, thus my peers would be more likely to fulfill them.

THE ZINE & WEBSITE

All of the assets created throughout my journey, ultimately contributed to our groups main assets, the zine and accompanying digital website.

Whilst these were contributions from all team memebers to the zine, the website was created solely by myself. This was a huge task for me but was one that was very fulfilling and ultimately one I am proud of. I believe it added much additional value to our project as a whole and offered more to our class and launch night guest than just a physical zine.

The physical zine was featured above was a communal task, however myself and Chloe O’Neil developed the vast majority whilst Chloe Bajard focused on producing a class film.

As a group we opted for an AI cover in order to avoid any students feeling undervalued if their work was not picked for the cover. The final AI cover was one that I generated and designed using Adobe Firefly and Photoshop to produce a professional and polished magazine cover.

CONCLUSION

In conclusion, the assets myself and my team were able to produce during this project were some of the most valuable for the success of our Launch Night.

Not only did we face the challenge of collecting information from our peers, which at times was difficult, but we did so as a unit and achieved a brilliant final outcome as a result.

IKeeping on track with deadlines, staying organised, and clear communication between us has led to a zine, website, and video that I think we can be proud of.
