Hello!

I’m Megan Arquette and I’ve been working as residential and commercial interior designer for over 15 years. My work has included working with startups in the world of interior design, set production, writing for several shelter magazines as well as speaking on panels at the Pacific Design’s West Week.

I’m happy to share with you a few examples of my work on the following pages. Thanks again for you time and interest!

Warmly, Megan

Our client had recently moved into their home but didn’t feel that it reflected their style, have adequate storage nor functionality. The original bath had one double sink vanity.

We reconfigured the vanity area to include the custom cabinetry, pedestal sinks with waterworks faucets, adding both ambient and task lighting. The final touches were brining in the gorgeous Galbraith and Paul wallpaper and updating the window treatment.

Beachy Bohemian Primary Bedroom

Our client wanted a bedroom that reflected their proximity to the water while using a colorful palette. They wanted something, casual yet interesting; beachy but not too literal. The design I came up with was an elevated bohemian style.

To achieve this I layered various natural textiles, textures and colors. I designed the British Colonial bed, with it’s ebony finish, to create a frame work for the colors of the custom draperies, carpet and bench (upholstered in a sourced Frazada blanket). Layers of indigenous fabrics and woven textiles, add to the interest of the final design.

Sunny Pool House

This was such a fun job. The client’s only directive was, “Palm Springs, but not Palm Springs” By bringing in bright, clear colors I was able to replicate the vividness that the desert light brings.

I used yellow as the main color throughout to represent the citrus trees and sunshine of Palm Springs.

The use of vintage items including, the sourced mid century Saarinen table, gave the nod to PS without being too literal. The vintage, French tole pendant light, added a great palm motif reflected in the banquette upholstery. The wallpaper was the icing on the cake. I wrapped the dining alcove in this, fun, warm and happy custom wallpaper.
