Commas in a Series
A comma (,) tells your reader where to pause. Commas help the meaning of a sentence clear.
A series is a list of three of more items in a sentence. A conjuction, such as and or or, is used before the last item in a series.
Example #1 Everyone will sing, dance, or play an instrument.
Do NOT use a comma if a sentence lists only two items.
Miss Fellin played softball soccer and field hockey.
Miss Fellin loves to swim hike and snowboard.
Miss Fellin loves to travel read and work.
Miss Fellin has one dog one turtle and two cats.
