Professional Experience Education
2012 - 2013
D’office / Project manager
In this experience, I worked as a project manager. My responsibilities included project design, team management consisting of one architect and two designers, project presentations to clients, and overseeing construction sites of ongoing projects during that period. The majority of projects we worked on together were large-scale projects with the Libyan government. Some presentations were attended by a commission comprising five ministers and 20 department heads, which allowed me to develop my presentation and communication skills, in addition to the experience gained in urban projects.
I am 35 years old and was born in Ksar Hellal, Tunisia. I have over 11 years of experience as an architect. My experience spans various stages of project design, construction site supervision, client meetings, collaboration with all stakeholders, and team management. Throughout these 11 years, I have actively sought to diversify the projects I worked on, aiming to acquire new skills while maintaining a creative and innovative approach.
2013 - 2016
ARCHIS / CO-Office manager
In this experience, I served as a co-director at the architectural firm «Mehdi Meksi.» My role involved overseeing the entire process of project development, starting from the initial design phases and progressing to the execution documents, technical details, and tender documents, as well as providing construction site supervision.
This experience provided me with a deeper understanding of the technical aspects of the project design process and allowed me to witness the implementation of these details on construction sites.
2016 - 2023
WM / Funder CO-Office manager
Together with my partner, Walid Sabbagh, who has a strong background in real estate, we founded our own architectural firm. Our firm was focused on various aspects of design, including architecture, brand design, graphic arts, and visual arts.
We built a strong team of interior architects and designers, drawing from our previous knowledge and constantly striving to enhance our skills. We consistently sought out diverse project opportunities to gain versatile experience in our field.

In the heart of the commercial city and on the main boulevard, the project site is located. Therefore, the entire ground floor and mezzanine were dedicated to the commercial section.
According to the land regulations, there is a possibility to have a maximum of 4 floors (R+4) on a 30-meter strip along the main road, while the remaining area allows for a maximum of 2 floors (R+2). As a result, we decided to allocate the office section to the R+4 portion and the residential section to the R+2 portion in order to maximize the project’s profitability.
To create a dynamic and naturally illuminated shopping center, we opted for an atrium at the heart of the center that would distribute towards the commercial spaces, accompanied by an escalator leading to the mezzanine level.
We strategically placed the different entrances along both roads to facilitate access: the central entrance serves both sides of the shopping center, the office section has its entrance from the main road, and the residential section has its entrance from the secondary road.
R+4 R+2
30m(bandecommerciale)
In order to highlight the main entrance of the shopping center, we opted for a transparent vertical volume that would create a striking feature at the intersection of the two roads, drawing attention to the center from a distance.
Considering that this city had a prominent textile heritage, we aimed to reflect this heritage in the architecture of our building. The concepts of grid, rhythm, mesh, colors, and patterns were integral to our architectural design.
We played with the interplay of solid and void to generate our façade, incorporating a large curtain wall on the corner with multicolored glass panels. This creates an original and dynamic ambiance for the offices, fostering a sense of creativity within the interior.
The residential section was designed to be less transparent than the commercial section, providing a greater sense of privacy for the apartments while maintaining visual continuity with the rest of the building.
Urban planning regulations required a setback from the 3rd floor onwards, which could potentially disrupt the visual stability of our façade. To address this, we chose to incorporate a metal structure that visually extends the façade. This structure, composed of vertical lines, aligns with the textile rhythm concept and creates a play of light and shadow.

This project presented a significant challenge. The site was located in the center of the city, overlooking the main roundabout that connects the two main avenues, the municipality, the market, and the two major squares of the city.
The urban planning regulations for this boulevard had recently changed, allowing for the construction of 6 floors, including a mezzanine and ground floor (an increase of 2 floors compared to the previous regulations). As a result, our building would be one of the first R+6 buildings in the city.
While this location had many advantages, it also posed several constraints in terms of the different functions it would house (functional distribution, access, parking). Initially, we had a land plot of 2400m² allocated for commercial spaces and offices. However, during the early stages of the project, we convinced the client to purchase the neighboring plot to expand the project and avoid setbacks associated with that adjacent plot. This led us to add the residential function to the project. In record time, we redesigned the concept and prepared the execution plans before the completion of the excavation stage of the basement.

Due to the significant lack of parking spaces in the city center, it was essential to provide the necessary parking for the project. Therefore, we decided to construct a two-level underground parking, which became the first and largest parking facility in the city, accommodating over 150 parking spaces. This parking facility would serve the entire project, including the commercial area, offices, and apartments.
The ground floor and mezzanine levels were dedicated to the commercial section, facing both streets. A central atrium covered with a glass roof was designed to take advantage of natural light. This atrium would guide visitors to the various shops on the ground floor and mezzanine levels, with the help of two escalators. The commercial area consisted of 22 retail units ranging from 50 to 100 square meters, as well as a large unit with a surface area of 900 square meters.
The office section comprised 54 offices primarily intended for medical professionals, equipped with all the necessary sanitary facilities for a doctor’s clinic. This section had two entrances on the two streets to avoid congestion at the entrance. The atrium on the ground floor extended to all six floors, providing illumination and ventilation for circulation between the offices.
To create a quieter atmosphere, we chose to place the residential section at the rear of the site. This section, complying with the urban planning regulations, spanned two floors. It consisted of eight spacious apartments ranging from 160 to 245 square meters in size.

The textile industry has always been a significant part of the city’s heritage. Therefore, we were concerned about representing this heritage in the architecture of the project. The concepts of the composition of fabric, such as patterns, lines, and motifs, were incorporated into both the volumetric design and the facades.
Moreover, the colors used in the project were inspired by the city’s logo, which featured yellow and blue. These colors, along with white, which pays homage to Mediterranean architecture, were utilized throughout the design. Local marble stones were also incorporated into the commercial area, adding a touch of authenticity and reflecting the city’s unique characteristics.

The plot of land was spacious and open to its agricultural surroundings, with a central 3-meter slope. We decided to position our villa at the level of the slope, which allowed us to avoid a large mass at the entrance of the property and maintain unobstructed views. The villa was designed with three levels: a garden level, ground floor, and an upper floor.
The orientation of the slope was favorable (southeast), allowing us to maximize the opening of spaces towards the optimal direction. To create an open and dynamic atmosphere with ample natural light and ventilation throughout the day, we incorporated several double-height spaces, both between the garden level and ground floor and between the ground floor

We designed the layout of the land to provide smooth circulation, allowing easy access by car or on foot throughout the expansive property. To ensure privacy and pre serve the views, we divided the land into three lots. The central lot was reserved for our villa, while the other two lots were allocated for future villas. This arrangement was carefully planned to avoid any obstruction of views between the villas, ensuring that each property would maintain its own scenic outlook without interference from neighboring structures.

The villa was designed in such a way that each level is a living space that is both open to the other levels and at the same time an independent space that includes intimate areas and public spaces, day areas and night areas. Almost all of the spaces are oriented towards the optimal direction and have unobstructed views. The double-height in the grand living room (garden level and ground floor) allowed us to create a large glass window of 12 meters in width and 6 meters in height, making this space ma
jestic, filled with sunlight, and open to the pool and landscape.
The main entrance of the villa is located on the ground floor, with a grand hall that leads to the other spaces either through the main staircase or to the grand living room through the suspended staircase. The vehicular entrance is located on the garden level, leading to the garage and then to the service area (kitchen, laundry, pantry), and further on to the grand living room.
The master suite is situated on the garden level, directly opening onto the pool area, while the children’s suites are located on the upper floor, creating a private space for them equipped with a lounge area and a play area.

The client’s ambition was to have an image of a luxurious and majestic chalet with a touch of Arab-Muslim identity. Therefore, for this project, we chose an interpretation of this identity to achieve a contemporary architecture that combines luxury with modesty, openness, and intimacy at the same time.
The client’s objective was to always maintain solidarity, fraternity, and unity within their family. That’s why they chose to build two villas connected to their main residence, ensuring a continuous bond with the family. Our concern was how to ensure this connection both inside and outside while maintaining a certain level of independence and privacy.
The U-shaped composition surrounding an outdoor focal point, the swimming pool, serves as a gathering space for the family. This U-shape design allows for separate entrances for each villa while also facilitating internal connections. The pool terrace acts as a generator for the surrounding spaces, creating a semi-patio that provides a sense of privacy to the surrounding areas, thereby reinforcing our desired concept of openness and intimacy from the beginning.
ENTREES PLEIN/VIDE ET TERRASSES DOUBLE HAUTEUR
The concept of grandeur and majesty is emphasized through the verticality of the exterior volumes and the incorporation of double-height spaces within the interior. Symmetry, harmony, rhythm, proportion, verticality, fullness and emptiness, shadow and light were the main guiding principles during our design process.

Both on the exterior and interior, the interpretation of ArabMuslim identity is consistently present, whether through different atmospheres or architectural elements and ornaments. The design aims to achieve a sense of grandeur and modesty simultaneously, incorporating significant heights, carefully crafted staircases, and the use of noble and understated materials. The dominance of white throughout the space further enhances this sense of modesty.
ADEL ZAYATI Bijouterie
Brand design and decoration of the various stores
ADEL ZAYETI has been a jeweler since 1986. He entrusted us with the mission of creating the brand design and decoration for each new boutique. As an artist influenced by major global brands, he pays great attention to his brand and premises. Therefore, for the brand and the boutiques, we always sought inspiration from the jewelry and the style he presents in his works. We made sure that his logo and packaging designs were also like pieces of jewelry.
For the different boutiques, our focus has always been on effectively showcasing his products, framing them, and making careful choices of lighting fixtures to ensure proper illumination for this purpose. Additionally, we always strive to work with noble materials such as wood, marble, and glass, while maintaining a balanced ambiance that highlights the displayed products.
