To celebrate 25 years in business, the brand has released an anniversary book and collection of reimagined icons, for the next generation of Button Bag lovers.

MIMCO bag, $550. Founded by Amanda Briskin-Rettig in 1996, accessories and fashion label Mimco has been adored the world over. And its relationship with David Jones has been long-lasting: in 2004, the brand became the sole Australian fashion accessories label at the department store. The following year, Mimco’s iconic Button Bag was released and catapulted onto the wish lists of women everywhere. The origins of the bag, plus the rest of the brand’s rich and design-fi lled past, is documented in a special 25th-anniversary book. Instagram’s favourite fashion infl uencer turned designer, Pernille Teisbaek, has just announced her new role as creative consultant for the Italian-based shoe label Gia Borghini. You can expect styles that are pure Pernille: delicate shapes grounded with utilitarian features, like these white slides.
