Inspired by the fairytales that have been told for centuries and the modernisation of said tales created from the mind of Petra Collins, I wrote a story about a mythical creature living in a mortal world that has to adapt and hide her true nature in this world to be able to survive and live the life she’d rather live as a writer. This image-filled tale tells a fraction of the life she has to endure to stay in this world of mere mortals, and the sacrifices she has to make, including her own happiness. This story is based on the struggles a modern woman has to face, choosing between her personal and career life in order to preserve one, told from a “fairytale” point of view.
