Helping you unlock employee talent and create an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive

Helping you unlock employee talent and create an inclusive workplace where everyone can thrive
With the UK experiencing record numbers of vacancies and labour shortages expected to rise further in the next few years, businesses need to be doing all they can to attract and retain talented employees in an increasingly competitive recruitment market.
That means recruiting and supporting a more diverse workforce.
Given that 1 in 5 of the working-age population are classed as disabled, and that one of the key barriers to disabled people staying in the workplace is a lack of appropriate support, taking steps to better accommodate workers with disabilities or long-term health conditions is crucial.
Disabled employees can have a hugely positive impact on an organisation and its culture, bringing different perspectives and skills that can help to drive innovation, creativity and engagement and boost the performance, reputation and success of your business. By introducing the right adjustments and enabling them to work in a way that suits their needs, you can help them to stay in work, perform at their best and maximise their potential, for the benefit of all.
Workplace adjustments are changes that an employer makes to enable an employee to overcome a health- or disability-related barrier at work. These changes can include the provision of costed support, such as specialist equipment or assistive technology software, as well as any training, coaching or adaptations to a role, which can often be introduced at little to no cost.
According to government figures, disabled workers are almost twice as likely as non-disabled workers to move out of work, and of the 7.7 million working-aged people with a disability or long-term health condition in the UK, are in employment.
