Culture Matters

Culture is the quality in a person or society that arises from a concern for what is regarded as excellent in all areas of life. It is said that if you lower the standard, you lower the culture. Medici Project exists to raise the standard by strategically equipping millennials to influence culture through service and strategy.

Target Audience: Millennials

Sarah is a college student who loves hanging out with her friends, but wants something more out of life than simply living from day to day and having the most important things consisting only of what she wears, what people think of her, and the latest pop culture news that is constantly being updated on her twitter feed. Sarah wants more out of life. She wants to serve, influence others, and do something that changes the world around her for the better. Medici Project strategically comes alongside of students like Sarah, helping leverage their specific passions and skill sets to start their own service oriented initiatives, non profits, and businesses.

Values that Guide the Direction of Influence

• Purpose is the driving force that keeps us going. • Worldviews turn into lifestyles. • Millennials have ideas worth investing in.

Development Labs

Development Labs are one year coaching networks for students around the country, guiding them to start purpose centered initiatives, non-profits, and businesses. We do this through a 3 day gathering in which we explore lessons of idea concepting and organizational development. After the 3 day gathering, we walk alongside students for the next year, helping them kickstart, accelerate, and craft their ideas and organizations.

Kayla, Elizabeth, and Ashley heard the statistic at one of our past conferences that 6000 people die every day because of the lack of clean drinking water. This led them to the goal of raising enough money to build one well for a community. Three years and a hundred thousand dollars later, these three girls have gone back and forth to multiple wells that have been built in Africa for clean drinking water resources.

Daniel saw the need for individuals moving out of homelessness into homes to have good reliable furniture upon their move. This inspired Daniel to start small by collecting furniture from different areas of his hometown, and now has turned his good actions into a full fledge 501c3, sharing warehouse space with Habitat for Humanity.

After passing a women experiencing homelessness by her school every morning, Lindsey decided to bring a muffin from home and engage in a conversation. Little did she know the budding of that relationship would inspire her to start her very own community soup kitchen in her hometown, serving many more individuals just like her new found friend, seven days a week.
