Porsches, cocaine seized in SE raid ■ A man and woman have been charged with serious drug offences and had their luxury cars seized after Police allegedly located commercial quantities of cocaine and MDMA in Melbourne’s south-east. Prahran Divisional Response Unit detectives executed a search warrant at a unit on St Kilda Rd, Melbourne, about 8am on Thursday (Feb. 1). During a search of the property, Police seized cocaine with an estimated potential street value of more than $140,000, MDMA worth more than $40,000, and $25,000 worth of

CYCLISTS HIT: YOUTHS CHARGED

■ Four more youths, including a 13-year-old boy, have been arrested following an investigation into two cyclists that were hit by a car in the south-eastern suburbs. Officers were called to Beach Rd, Cheltenham, about 5.20am on Tuesday January 23, after a cyclist was struck by a vehicle. The 51-year-old Aspendale man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. He was released on Tuesday January 30. A 72-year-old man from Bentleigh East was then struck on Beach Rd in Beaumaris a short time later. The vehicle again allegedly failed to stop, and the second rider was also taken to hospital with serious injuries. He remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition. A Holden Astra – believed to have been stolen from Preston on January 21, then allegedly used in the incidents – was recovered in Black Rock the same day. Police arrested two 16-year-old boys in Noble Park, about 7.30pm on Wednesday last week (Jan. 31). A boy from Noble Park has since been released from hospital and charged with armed robbery, and theft of a motor vehicle. He was remanded to appear in a children’s court at a later date. A 16-year-old boy from Clyde North remains before the courts. Following further enquiries, Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested four youths at various locations about 7.30am Friday (Feb. 2). ■ A 13-year-old Hampton Park boy was charged with two counts of theft of a motor

ARRESTS OVER CAULFIELD FIRE

■ Police have charged two men following a fire that destroyed a business in Caulfield. Emergency services were called to a fire at a fast-food store on the corner of Glen Huntly and Hawthorn Rds about 4.30am on Friday, November 10. Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a 27-year-old man from St Albans with arson and theft of motor vehicle. Hwas bailed to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Friday (Feb. 2). A 25-year-old man has been charged with arson, robbery, theft of motor vehicle and other offences. He was also charged with arson in relation to the tobacco store fire in Bendigo on January 29 that caused more than $4 million worth of damage. The Preston man was remanded to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court last Thursday (Feb. 1).
