COOKING ON GAS Family-owned kitchen manufacturing company, Sigma 3, has been recognised for excellence at the prestigious BKU Awards 2016, recently held in London, for its kitchen brand, Masterclass Kitchens, a collection of over 400 classic, shaker and modern styled kitchens. The Llantrisant-based company, which celebrated its 40th anniversary last year, received the Best Overall Kitchen Brand award at the ceremony, hosted by comedian Paul Sinha.

“We’re absolutely delighted to have been presented with this prestigious award,” said Gerald Jones, Sigma 3 MD. “To have been recognised, not just for elements of our Masterclass kitchens but for the overall brand, is a fantastic achievement, and a testament to the hard work that our team puts into the development, manufacturing and promotion of all our kitchens.” For more: sigma3.co.uk

Hot on the ‘wheels’ of Team GB’s amazing achievements in Rio, Welsh homelessness charity, The Wallich, is calling for businessmen and women across Wales to join Cyclone 24, an epic 24-hour track relay fundraising challenge which will take riders on a journey totalling 10,000 miles. A joint event between strategic branding agency Stills and The Wallich, the challenge will take place at Newport’s International Velodrome on 16 October. “Partnering with The Wallich on Cyclone 24 was an easy decision for me,” said Stills MD Steve Sulley. “They change the lives of vulnerable homeless people – they don’t just provide a cup of tea on a cold morning, their support systems provide a path to a whole new way of living. “That ethos is the reason that we adopted The Wallich as our nominated charity. They are also our neighbours, and we love cycling, so this is the perfect partnership.” For more: cyclone24.co.uk
