Might be for a client brief. Could be CleverTech (it’s a thing, btw). Maybe your own singular, distinctive creativity. It’s that moment when things just fall into place. The transformative fusion of thinking and action.

It’s that moment when we all realise that there is nothing like being a creative. Nothing like that bank sheet of paper, whether metaphorical or the actual of an ever-blinking cursor – that test of you. And nothing like the moment of release when creativity comes together.

However many times your creativity is tested, however familiar some types of work may be, none of us lose that

moment of belief. It’s the minted creative newness which appeals.

It’s deep in the soul of creators to have their creativity tested. To put their thinking forward and have others interpret as they will.

And that’s what we’re recognising and celebrating tonight. Tested creativity. Excellence in multiple areas. Inspiration.

All the decisions tonight have been made by a panel of independent judges chosen across many creative areas. Hard calls, nearly all.

Enjoy your evenings. When Bath’s creative tribes of come together and when clever thinkers, makers and doers unite, then enjoyment and value is created for us all.

Partner, Glove Factory Studios

The Glove Factory Studios was set up in 2008 by Alix and partner Nick, a large-scale sculptor. She’s previously a Bath Spa University design graduate and formerly creative director of London design agency The Partners. Today, Glove Factory Studios, nestled in its sublime rural setting, supports businesses, connectivity, and collaboration, and embraces the community connected to the thriving village of Holt.

CARMELA CARUBBA

Director, Real SFX

Carmela is a company director at Real SFX, a multi-awardwinning special effects company. She leads on recruitment, training, business development and sustainability, and is passionate about nurturing new talent. Her leadership helps ensure Real SFX remains at the forefront of innovation, excellence, and environmental responsibility in the film and TV industry.

CHRIS MAY

Founder Director, Mayden

Chris is the founder director of Mayden, an award-winning health tech company based in Bath employing 160 staff. He chairs the Lucuna Foundation which supports numerous charities across Bath and Bristol. Chris also writes and is a co-author of Made Without Managers which was highly recommended in last year's Business Book Awards.

EMMA SUMMERS, Founder & CEO, Juice Recruitment

It all began 25 years ago when Emma felt that the recruitment industry required a fresh new approach – one that was customer led and focused on a quality experience for both candidates and clients. Starting life in a small office in Bath, Juice Recruitment now has branches across the south west.

Co-founder, Spark

Emma is co-founder of Spark - a consultancy that helps creative businesses embrace AI with confidence. She is also a graphic designer and was co-founder of We are The Loves, previously implemented hybrid working at Parliament and was a director of the restoration of the Palace of Westminster. She is also an artist with a studio at 44AD.

NATASHA KIDD

Associate Vice Provost: Creative Engagement, Bath Spa University

Dr Natasha Kidd’s research explores the distinct ways in which an artist learns and strategies for making these creative methods transparent. Natasha has over twenty years of arts experience working with leading galleries, participating in research, delivering training, and contributing to the development of creative pedagogy.

Store Manager, Toppings

Saber Khan is the dynamic store manager of Toppings Bath, a family-run independent bookshop with a focus on live author events and knowledgeable bookselling team. The venue houses over 70,000 volumes on its shelves. Saber grew up in London and studied at Trinity College in Cambridge.

Creative Director, Life Media UK

As Director of the rapidly expanding video content agency Life Media UK and marketing agency Lambardar Marketing, Sunjay has spent over a decade building businesses and winning clients. He has extensive experience in creating valuable relationships and delivering real results for brands across the UK and internationally

STEPH DODD

Steph Dodd is managing director of leading regional events, publishing and marketing company, MediaClash, having joined in 2016. It produces many dozens of events a year, including the Bath Life Awards, Bath Property Awards and equivalents in Bristol. It also produces EntreConf and its Awards, plus other conferences and networking lunches. It publishes Bath Life and Bristol Life magazines. Steph has worked in media for over 15 years, starting her career at international publisher Future.

GREG INGHAM

Greg Ingham co-founded and owns MediaClash with his wife Jane. He also founded and runs EntreConf and Creative Bath; has advised a diverse range of media, tech and legal companies; created the computer games charity GamesAid; and chaired the Theatre Royal Bath, starting its Creative Fund. He is a co-founder of Floresco..
