The Hilton Head BIG Fish 5K Run/ Walk was held at the South Beach Marina village in Hilton Head Island, SC on August 29th. Participants were able to experience running on South Beach while enjoying the beautiful scenery within the Sea Pines community–and all for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the John Berrigan Cross Country Scholarship. John was a former Hilton Head Prep student who Ron Boshaw Residential tragically passed away, but his legacy of making a difference in the world lives on. A HUGE thank you for all the support, runners, helpers, and sponsors that produced amazing memories at The
Big Fish 5K. The event garnered an overwhelming response with over 250 participants. It was an awesome example of the community coming together to support this beautiful cause. A few senior cross-country runners selected from any of the Beaufort County schools will be awarded the John Berrigan Cross Country Scholarship. This was the first annual Big Fish 5K, and many are already looking forward to next year.
