Show Your Work! is about how generosity is more valuable than genius. It’s about being accessible, sharing your process and allowing others to learn from you.

What We’re Watching: Billion dollar behaviours, Rory Sutherland

Why further enquiry unearths more solutions and creativity. Why we should dig deeper into understanding the many reasons why things happen - instead of settling for one, easy default explanation.

What We’re Working On: An intro to Arabic localisation

Designing Arabic langauge collateral is a big part of what we do at mecs - and has been since 1997. We believe that localisation is crucial when it comes to communicating with audiences in the Arabian Gulf.

With more than 420 million native speakers, Arabic is one of the most widely spoken languages in the world. It is also an official language for 22 countries, covering a vast geographical area from North Africa to the Middle East.

However, Arabic dialects can vary significantly depending on the region, making it challenging to create material that resonates with all audiences.

This isn’t widely understood in the West. And we’re working on changing that. A lot of research, facts, and figures are going into new promotional material as we prepare to launch GCC localisation services in the UK and Europe.
