HEY TEXAS-OKLAHOMA! I AM SO PUMPED FOR THE 2011-2012 YEAR! I’VE GOTTEN IN CONTACT WITH A BUNCH OF THE LIEUTENANT GOVERNORS, AND I CAN’T BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW EXCITED I AM TO WORK WITH SUCH A PHENOEMAL GROUP OF PEOPLE. DON’T BE AFRAID TO ASK THEM FOR ANY KEY CLUB HELP AT ALL! WE’RE ONE GIANT T-O DISTRICT FAMILY! IN FACT, I’M PLANNING ON TAKING A ROAD TRIP THROUGH OKLAHOMA IN EARLY AUGUST TO VISIT YOUR CLUBS! JUST BECAUSE I’M JUST OUTSIDE HOUSTON, TX DOESN’T MEAN TEXAS GETS ALL OF MY ATTENTION (I ACTUALLY HAVE FAMILY IN TULSA, OK). START PLANNING EVENTS OVER THE SUMMER SO THAT I CAN DROP BY AND PERSONALLY VISIT YOUR CLUB! HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?? THE NEWEST ADDITIONS TO OUR T-O DISTRICT FAMILY ARE DISTIRCT EDITOR KAITLYN LEVETT (KAITLYN.LEVETT@GMAIL.COM) AND CONVENTION LIAISON COLTEN MEISNER (COLTEN.MEISNER@HOTMAIL.COM) (LOOK FOR THEIR INTRODUCTIONS IN THEIR MONTHLY NEWSLETTERS). LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, COMMENTS OR CONCERNS! WE LOVE GETTING EMAILS FROM YOU!

Even though we’ll be losing Key Clubbers because they’ll be graduating (Good job Class of 2011! Don’t forget about the K-Family after high school!), it’s still important to grow the Mighty T-O District! There are so many high schools across Texas and Oklahoma that don’t have the great opportunities and benefits that you get from Key Club. That’s why this year our membership goal is: 18,000! Think of all the service hours! Contact your lieutenant governor for more details on membership growth in your club! Instead of joining Circle K, Key Club seniors have another option: becoming a charter member of the all new Key Club International Alumni Association. Connect with old friends, make new ones and stay on top of Key Club International’s accomplishments and activities. Membership is free through June 2011! www.kiwanis.org/alumni

Tell your seniors to join Circle K in college or help charter a new Circle K club for the Mighty T-O District!
