MILES WITH MEANING MILES WITH MEANING

This may not be our typical newsletter content, but it’s one that truly matters. A devoted husband, father of two boys, and familiar face in our neighborhood, John Carrasco has called The Meadows home since 2009 and has served eighteen years as a deputy with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

In 2012, John faced a life-altering diagnosis: Multiple Sclerosis. Rather than let MS slow him down, he used it as fuel for action. When the Boston Marathon was canceled in 2020, he ran the course right here in The Meadows to raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS), showing us all what resilience looks like.

The NMSS funds cutting-edge research, drives advocacy, and provides critical services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward In his own words, “Since my diagnosis in 2012, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society has been an unwavering source of support and hope. I’m raising money for them so they can continue being there for others living with MS Please join me every donation, big or small, helps ensure no one faces MS alone!”

Now, on November 2nd, John will lace up again for the NYC Marathon, pushing every mile for a cause that’s close to his heart. His fundraiser has already caught the attention of Fox31 Denver and CBS News, and now it’s your turn to help amplify his impact with donations that directly power all the NMSS stands for

If you can give, your gift makes a real difference. If you can’t, sharing John’s story is just as meaningful. In The Meadows, we don’t just live side by side we lift each other up. Let’s help John cross that finish line for himself, and for everyone affected by MS
