New York – Christie’s announces this year’s Staff Art Show, Close to Home, which will open to bidding from July 25 – August 2. The online auction will be accompanied by an exhibition at Christie’s New York galleries from July 27 – August 2 with an opening reception on July 31. The sale features various works created by Christie’s Americas employees from departments across the company including Art Handlers, Marketing, Estates and Appraisals and Specialist Departments such as Watches, World Art, and Post-War and Contemporary Art. This year as a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, a portion of the proceeds from the auction will be given to The Art Therapy Project, a nonprofit in New York that is dedicated to helping trauma survivors through the creative process. Works created by The Art Therapy Project’s clients will be featured alongside the employee artwork in Christie’s galleries.
