Preface

The current investigation is a side effect of the main investigation called “The complete story of the MCT+ Exit Scam”. It was discovered that the two Austrian citizens, Andreas Kaltenhuber and his wife Carina Fontan, who were the founders of the MCT+ Cryptocurrency Trading Platform which exit scammed in July 2019, are also responsible for another exit scam committed in 2018

Brief summary

In March 2018 Andreas Kaltenhuber and Carina Fontan launched a cryptocurrency project called “Alpenschilling” which was allegedly intended to be “ a decentralized platform for sports and leisure activities in alpine regions”

The Alpenschilling founders issued their own cryptocurrency, the ALPS coin, which was planned to use as a payment method for different services during vacation in the Alps

At the start the Alpenschilling founders got themselves 12 million ALPS (4% of the total supply) for free as Premine

Within the next several months they were selling the ALPS coin to potential investors directly via their website https://alpenschilling.cash/ and indirectly via several crypto exchanges.

During that time they were constantly telling their investors about the bright future of the Alpenschilling project and how well things were going

In late May 2018 the Alpenschilling founders stopped any activities in social media and then just disappeared, leaving all the ALPS investors with nothing. The Alpenschilling site and almost all Alpenschilling social accounts were soon deleted.

As a result, all the Alpenschilling investors lost their funds

After the exit scam several Alpenschilling investors tried to take over the project and managed to restore some resources deleted by the original founders

As we see, there is a trade operation between the MCT and ALPS coins That’s why I remember the ALPS coin

which can be found in the source code of the ALPS wallet:

1.2. Let’s check the metadata of the Alpenschilling logo:

For this we have to execute the following commands: git clone https://github.com/Alpenschilling/Alpenschilling exiv2 -p a Alpenschilling/src/qt/res/icons/bitcoin.png

The output of the last command will be the following:

which can be found in the source code of the MCT wallet: https://github.com/mctsystem/MCTP-PoS

For this we have to execute the following commands: git clone https://github.com/mctsystem/MCTP-PoS exiv2 -p a MCTP-PoS/src/qt/res/icons/bitcoin.png

The output of the last command will be the following:

1.3. Now let’s check the metadata of the MCT+ logo:

1 4 What a surprise Both images have some of the same metadata:

And the same image creation history:

1 5 What all this says to us:

On 20 March 2018 the initial image template was created with Adobe Photoshop CC for Windows

This is an absolutely unique image created from scratch.

On 25 March 2018 the Alpenschilling logo based on the aforementioned image template was created

On 24 May 2018 the MCT+ logo based on the same aforementioned image template was created

All these facts allow us to state that the Alpenschilling and MCT+ logos were created by the same person.

Blockchain transactions

2 1 The Alpenschilling founders started selling the ALPS coin on 25 March 2018 via the Alpenschilling site:

2 2 The price they were selling the coin at that time was 0 77 BTC per one Masternode which included 60 000 ALPS This information was restored thanks to one Russian mining forum:

https://miningclub info/threads/chto-takoe-masternody-i-gde-ix-iskat 37466/page-2#post-897028

2 3 On 10 May 2018 the Alpenschilling founders started selling the ALPS coin at 0 12 BTC per one Masternode: https://www facebook com/Alpenschilling-167629283938028/

Now let’s analyze Andreas Kaltenhuber’s private BTC wallet which he used for receiving and sending funds including for purposes of the MCT+ project

Here is a blockchain transaction which the MCT+ founders publicly announced:

https://bitcointalk org/index php?topic=4315891 msg40386159#msg40386159

https://bitinfocharts com/bitcoin/tx/8932d2c1dfa0f02212438bec45ec8eb00ecf790cf173c89cb591542337f6b915

As we see, the transaction above includes the following BTC address: 3NGHWV1GXFERFQFUJJWjh6eGEuLMf2dCFX

from which the MCT+ founders are sending funds to the CryptoBridge exchange

Based on the information above, we know for sure that this address is connected with the MCT+ founders and Andreas Kaltenhuber in particular.* -----

*For more detailed information read “The complete story of the MCT+ Exit Scam”

Here is a list of transactions in which the mentioned BTC address was involved:

2 4

https://bitinfocharts com/bitcoin/address/3NGHWV1GXFERFQFUJJWjh6eGEuLMf2dCFX

And what we see in the list

We see two transactions with the amounts of 0 77 BTC and 0 12 BTC which perfectly match the periods of time when the Alpenschilling founders were selling the ALPS masternodes at exactly the same price

All these facts allow us to state that the Alpenschilling and MCT+ projects were run by the same people.

TheAlpenschilling whitepaper

3 1 Now let’s compare the Alpenschilling and MCT+ whitepapers

In the screenshots below we can see that they have absolutely the same style, the same images of devices and the same text

Even the font in the footer is the same It's especially noticeable while looking at the “W” letter

It means that the Alpenschilling and MCT+ whitepapers were created using the same instrument And how it was discovered, such an instrument was Canva (https://www canva com)

According to the data breach which occurred on 24 May 2019 on Canva, we know that Carina Fontan was registered there

It can be checked on Have I Been Pwned using Carina Fontan’s email address carina@pushpanda io

All these facts allow us to state that the Alpenschilling and MCT+ whitepapers were created by the same person.

The MCT+ whitepaper The Alpenschilling whitepaper

At the MCT+ project Carina Fontan was responsible for creating the MCT+ whitepaper:

So it means that it was her who was responsible for the Alpenschilling whitepaper as well

Real worldAustrian victim

On 30 April 2018 the Alpenschilling project announced their “first official partner in real world, a company named "Steiner Nautic" in Austria”

They even provided a link to the company’s site: http://www.segelschule-mattsee.at

And also a nickname of the company’s owner on Discord: @sourcefinder

https://www facebook com/Alpenschilling-167629283938028/

https://bitcointalk org/index php?topic=3196012 msg35981025#msg35981025

The owner of the “Steiner Nautic” company is an Austrian citizen from Mattsee, Salzburg - Hermann Steiner

Here is his FB page And as we can see, he even reposted several Alpenschilling’s posts on his page:

https://www facebook com/don hermano 1

I contacted Hermann Steiner on Discord and here is the whole conversation with him:

As we see, he says that he had a lot of ALPS coins and he got scammed by the Alpenschilling founders

So now Hermann Steiner can be considered a real world victim/witness of the Alpenschilling exit scam

Conclusion

More than enough evidence was provided above based on which we can state with full confidence - it is absolutely clear now that Andreas Kaltenhuber and Carina Fontan are serial scammers from whose criminal activities several thousand people around the world lost their funds

Also it’s absolutely clear that the Alpenschilling and MCT+ projects were scam projects from the beginning. The only goal the founders were pursuing was stealing money from their users and investors and nothing more

Therefore, as the Alpenschilling investors know exactly who scammed them - you can report the Alpenschilling founders to the Austrian authorities or to the authorities of your own country, the FBI, for example How you can do it you can find in my main investigation “The complete story of the MCT+ Exit Scam”.
