Model Interview: Rupert-Harvey Giles To be honest for males there isn’t a lot on that’s model focused. I’m sometimes made to watch Britain and Ireland’s next top model by my girlfriend but it’s not out of choice! Do you go to fashion shows? If I go to fashion shows it’s probably because I’m working. I tend to get my ideas from what other people are wearing on the high street and think about how I’d wear it. Do you have a favourite model, designer or fashion icon? My favourite male model has to be David Gandy. He has a real strong look about his work, something I’d love to replicate myself.
My name is Rupert. I’m 23 years old, a student and part time model. I study Sport business management at Loughborough University and I’m represented by Boss Model Management in Manchester.
What interests you in fashion? I like seeing people’s personality through what they wear and how they wear it. I prefer a clean strong look myself but everyone’s different, that’s part of the attraction.
How do you see yourself progress in this field? I’d like to do more catwalks and fashion shoots, it’s what I enjoy most as a model.
