The owner of the pub since the mid-2000s, Mr McGillivray said the venue was benefiting from local tourism after a slower year. “There are a lot of people coming through our community,” he said. “And that’s exciting for us because we want to be there for those people. We want to give them a great meal and have them enjoy the atmosphere around the area when they are here. “We love our community and we want to show the visitors to our town what this community has to offer.”
