Features of Blended (or Hybrid) Learning Format

◆ Cohort 1 Students: In the building on Mondays and Tuesdays

◆ Cohort 2 Students: In the building on Thursdays and Fridays

➔ On the days their cohort is not in the building, students will Zoom into their classes at the beginning of each block.

◆ The length of time may vary based on the class and instructional design of the lesson.

◆ Typically about 30 minutes. Students then continue asynchronous learning for the remainder of the block’s scheduled time.

➔ Advisory on their in-person Cohort Days

➔ Flexibility with study hall and ASR attendance, upon parent/caregiver permission.

Students in our Universal Model will transition to a blended, or hybrid, learning format. This means students will experience some inperson learning and some remote learning each week.

Wednesdays will continue to be an asynchronous learning day for students. No student will attend school in person on Wednesdays.

What about the Fully Virtual model? A student’s experience in the fully virtual model will typically stay the same through the end of the year.

Can I request that my child come home for study halls and ASR? Yes. There will be form emailed to families and caregivers can fill out to excuse their children from study halls and/or ASR. Students still have access to staff via Zoom.

Will attendance be taken on the days my child’s cohort is not in the building? Yes. Your student’s attendance will be based on their Zooming into the class at the beginning of each block.
