The American Armory Demo Days allowed visitors a chance to ride military vehicles in Fairfield, Saturday.
FAIRFIELD — If you ever wanted to ride on a tank then the American Armory Demo Days was the place to do that on Saturday. Jennifer, Jimmy and Kennedee Makin of Vacaville came out for the first time to see what the event was about. Five-year-old Kennedee came dressed in a pint-sized soldier girl costume complete with a hair-do straight out of 1940. “She loves to dress up,” said her dad. Kennedee had a very special relationship with her great grandfather who had a 1943 Jeep that he lovingly restored over the years, “giving” it to his great-granddaughter for safekeeping. “They just always had this special bond and when he passed a cousin had the Jeep and we got it from them,” See Armory, Page A12
