Building Information Modeling MCL uses advanced building information modeling (BIM) to generate and manage the physical and functional information of its projects using 3-D visualization before and during construction. In conjunction with our BIM-capable subcontractors, BIM helps us design and build the complex infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, to maximize efficiency and avoid costly conflicts before they can occur.

Prefabrication By prefabricating certain structural and mechanical components offsite, we and our subcontractors were able to reduce labor cost and time, as well as enhance worksite safety and avoid weather-related delays. Strategic prefabrication requires detailed planning and cooperation among subcontractors to maximize these benefits, which is why it is essential to build a team that can collaborate and communicate efficiently during the planning and construction phases.

Without requiring heating or protection, all four towers were erected in the time it would normally take to construct one.

On-site technology includes: • Autodesk BIM 360 Field: Using handheld devices, our onsite managers can manage jobsite issues, quality control, punch list, commissioning, safety, and communicate project status.

• High-definition laser scanner: Precise scans of poured concrete floors reveal areas requiring adjustment. These can be addressed by a concrete contractor rather than relying on a costly flooring installer correction downstream.

• HoloLens: We are able to let architects and end users “walk through” the space during construction using augmented reality so they can see how their plans are materializing.
