Description Spring 2025 The Artery is a proposal for a sports, art, and lodging facility in Wilmington Vermont. The project utilizes mass timber and modular construction to combat the effects of the flood plane and the community need for development. The site contains a gallery, restaurant, sports fields, greenhouses, and housing for all family types. Across the unprogrammed parts of the site, artwork and preserved building materials create a sitewide gallery space.
Artery derivation across the site. The shape is derived from wood material properties and avoiding cuts on-site.
Flood map depicting the special flood zone, river corridor flood zone, and small stream flood zone.
Housing sketches depicting floor layout. Housing connection to Artery.

Description Summer 2024
The Jardins de María Matilde Almendros is a garden located off of Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain celebrating the accomplished radio presenter and actress. Over time, the site has been developed into what it is today through the embrace of a historical wall that administers a diagonal through the garden. This diagonal wall connects the new city of Barcelona to the old and grants the jardín its defining characteristic.
Flanking the entrance of the site, this building towers over inhabitants and casts a strong shadow in the latter half of the day.

Description Fall 2024
The public spaces near Market St. are primarily businesses. In order to create a space that fosters true congregation and gives back to the city of Charleston, we look to our frames for life, or our unit modules, to push this concept.
The modules are given shared space around a punctured skylight alongside three structural walls. These structural walls act as the building’s organizing elements. Program is attached to these walls, altering their perceived thickness and creating inhabitable poche.
The units are arranged across a double loaded corridor. The shared spaces of the units expand and contract the circulation spine, furthering the concept of congregation. To give back to the city of Charleston, the structure of the buildings lifts it up to pull stalls underneath the building from the adjacent market.

Fall 2023 - Spring 2024
Every model created is a visual means of communicating design intent. Every piece demonstrates craftsmanship, spatial attitudes, and imaginative translation. We work in a trade that has the privilege of illuminating the power of hands-on creation and illustrating the depth of imagination and reality. Architects are communicators.

Description Spring 2023 - Fall 2023
Experimenting and taking risks is at the core of Media and Modeling. Students are not only encouraged, but are actively urged to step outside conventional boundaries. This pedagogy fosters an environment where innovation and individual expression thrive. At the core of this philosophy is the belief that the field of architecture is not only about mastering established techniques but also about pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

Description 2016-2024
Photography was the first creative medium I gravitated towards. My venture into the world of design began in my ninth grade photography class. We were given a ‘Photographic Scavenger Hunt,’ consisting of various topics. Water, vintage, nature, poverty, and love, to name a few.
Though never explicitly explained, I believe the goal of the exercise was to train my eye to see more abstract concepts in what I was photographing. This simple exercise marked the beginning of my photographic journey as well as my first steps into design.
