Channel your inner Peter Parker as we reveal the secrets of taking compelling action photos while on assignment. Our ProPublica Experience: A Show-and-Tell All Media James Niiler, Rebecca Griesbach, Camri Mason, Room 301 When an investigative news outlet from New York asked journalism students from Northridge and Central High Schools in Tuscaloosa to document their daily lives and racial interactions through photography, they told powerful stories – at an integrated an all-black school. See how this experience affected and led them to the extraordinary project they’re working on today. Incorporating Words and Pictures Literary Magazine Emmett Christolear, Room 3104 Examine how art and photography can enhance design and meaning by incorporating pictures with the written word. Students will piece together their own pages with proved poetry and art. Getting It All Online Broadcast/Multimedia Andrew Richardson, Room 2408 Blackburn Meeting Room Get your multimedia online and make your site shine. This session will include a Q&A, as well as practical tips and tricks for getting your media on the web.
