“TheLightningThief:ThePercyJacksonMusical”isourfirstmusical productionsincethepandemic,andIcan’timagineabettershowthan thisonetosetthepathforourfineartsdepartmentgoingforward.“The LightningThief”tellsthestoryofayoungboy,castoutofhiscommunity andisolatedforfactorsoutsideofhiscontrol,yethangingonforthatone pillarofsupportinhislife.Forcedontoaharshjourneytorecoverthat person,hefindshisownstrength,community,andreasonformoving forward,bothforher,himself,andthisnewcommunityhecannowrely on,throughfairandstormyweather.Thesamedifficultieshefaced growingupremain,thepathaheadistangled,butheisequippedwith friendsandnewfoundstrengthtofaceit.
Thismusicalisbasedonayoungadultnovel,“PercyJacksonandthe LightningThief”byRickRiordan,onemanystudentsmyageand youngerreadgrowingup.Ourshowisacomedy,butthestorywithinit ringstrueformanyofus.Covid-19rippedourcommunitiesapart.It tookfamilyandfriendsfromus,movedsomefromtheirhomes,others fromtheirjobs,andforus,fromourcommunity.Theartdepartment youseetodayislargelyfilledwithnewfoundfamilyandfriends,those whohavecometogetherafterthedarkestoftimestoshareinsafe company,meaningfulstorytelling,andthechancetomakeanimpact. Onouraudiences,andeachother.
Ourmusicalcentersonasimilarlossofsafety,yetfoundagainbythe rightpeople,tomakeadifferenceintheworldanduponeachother.If youweretotakeawayonethingfromthisproduction,Ihopeitisthat thebestfamilyisn’talwaysfoundinthefirstplaceyouland.Itisn’t exclusivelybyblood,anditmaytakeawhiletofindit,butyouwillbefound andlovedinthisworld,youjustneedtobeopentoreceivingit.Makesureto hangontothosepillarsinyourlife,though.Sometimes,theguardians,teachers, andfriendsalreadyinyourlifeareworthfightingthegodsfor.

Allison Wallinger: Allison Wallinger is thrilled to be back on stage to perform as Percy Jackson in this production of The Lightning Thief ! Allison joined drama club and thespians December of 2021 and hasnt looked back since, they are incredibly honored to be apart of such an amazing troupe that is Troupe 0391. This is their not only musical performance but also Lead role in any production and is excited to showcase what they and their fellow cast members and tech team have beenworkingonforthelastcouplemonths!They/Them
NachalySardinas:NachalySardinsplaysasAnnabethChase in this production of The Lighting Theif. She is currently 17 years old and is a senior. Nachaly has only started working with Troupe 0391 her senior year and will continue her acting passion next school year at AMDA College of the Performing Arts. Nachaly appreciates the cast & crew for everything it has taken to put the show together and wishes themthebest.
Tiffany Alvarez: Tiffany is excited to debut in her first Musical at Miami Beach Senior High. She is a senior here at MBSH and has been a part of the Thespian Society since her freshman year. Tiffany is excited to continue Musical Theatre at a collegiate level next year at Emerson College. Shewouldliketothankherfriendsandfamilyforconstantly supportingher.Shehopesyouenjoytheshow!!

Aubrey Rosenhaus: Aubrey Rosenhaus is very excited to play Luke Castellan in this production of The Lighting Thief. She is currently 16 years old and is a sophomore. She has been apart of Troupe 0391 since Spring of 2022 being in multiple productions & thespian competitions. Aubrey wishes the cast & crew of this production to break a leg and shehopesyouenjoytheshow.
Davianna Inirio: Davianna Inirio is currently a senior. She has previously been in theatre production serving as asst. stage manager, stage manager, and student director. However, this spring show she took on an acting role for experimentation, playing the role of Clarisse La Rue! She love the visual arts and will be attending Yale University the upcomingfallforherartisticpractice!
Jolarys Fernandez: Jo is currently a junior at MBSH and has been in troupe 0391 since her freshman year. She kis thrilled to be playing two very different characters for the first time in this production. She hopes that her castmates break legs and wants to thank the crew for her hardwork. She would also like to thank Emily W. and Aubrey R. for believinginheractingskillswhenshedoubtedthem.
Carly Sharmat: Carly Sharmat started acting when she was 7 years old and has fallen in love with acting. She has also been seen in other roles at Beach High such as Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream. Carly would love to thank her sisterAshleyforherconstantloveandsupport.

Zoey Rolon: Zoey Rolon is dying to play Dionysus in this production of lightning thief. she is 16 years old and his been a thespian since freshman year and adores competitions and lighting up the room with spunky and silly characters . Zoey believes in her fellow thespians/techies in making this experienceunforgettablesoenjoytheshow!
Dylan Grimes: Dylan loves acting from the start of 20222023 in his first play, The Green Bird to now, The Lighting Thiefandissohappytobeinthisamazingproduction.
Gianna Marrero: Gianna is 17 years old and a current junior at Miami Beach Senior High. She has been part of the MBSH drama club since her freshman year, and this is the 6th Production she has been a part of. Her previous works include “Bullies Anonymous” (Anonymous User), “A Midsummer Nights Dream” (Robin Starveling), and “The Green Bird” (Brighella). She is thrilled to be part of the cast of“TheLightningThief”andwouldliketothankherfriends andfamilyforalwayssupportingher.

Emily Woodhouse: Emily Woodhouse is thrilled to be directing The Lightning Thief as her first musical, especially withthisbelovedcastandcrew.Theirlastdirectedpiecewas 13 Ways To Screw Up A College Interview. Noted productions they have performed in are A Midsummer Nights Dream, The Green Bird, and Myth-o-logues. She would like to thank her incredibly supportive cast and crew for all their hardwork and creativity, her teachers for their advice and care, and Miami New Dram for their generous workshops in tech and acting. Brandon Montejo: Brandon Montejo is ecstatic to play the beloved or hated ares. He is currently 18 years old and is a senior. Stephanie Arce: Stephanie Arce is stoked to be part of the cast of production of the lightning thief! Stephanie is in 12th grade and is 18 years old. StephanieLizama:ThisisStephanie’sthirdshowworkingas a sound designer. She found her love for theater since watching “Heathers” in the fifth grade. Her love for sound design occurred when she was given the opportunity to work on sound for her very first production. She has previously worked on “A Mid Summer Nights Dream” during sophomore and more recently has worked on “The Green Bird” for a One Acts competition. “The Lightning Thief” will be her third production and she is very excited since she has always had a love for the book series and Greek Mythology in general. She hopes that everyone enjoys the productionasmuchasshedid!
Micheal Edynak-Gonzalez: This is Michael's first show as a mic operator. "The Lightning Thief" will be his first major production and he is very excited to make this incredible project come to life. Michael can't wait to see people amazed by the spectacular show him and his team have been workingvigorouslyon!
Lorenz Bermudez: Lorenz Bermudez is once again BACK AT IT in the acting gig last time he was doing it for his family but now his lifes on the line because he doesn’t know if he can run that fast up the stairs and not fall down them! He's worked on 2 shows in the last this being his third! He's ready to show you the real power of a girlboss and will definitelyblowyourminds.

Antonella Fernandez: As a lighting designer/operator, Anto has been doing theatre for the past 3 years. She had joined theatre just after halfway through her sophomore year, convinced by her friends. What had turned into something as an interest, it suddenly turned to something wonderful in her life. She had made many new friends through her journey in theatre. Some of her past works include working as a lighting designer/operator for Hillary DePiano's "The Green Bird" and now Joe Tracz and Rob Rokicki's "The Lightning Thief". Anto would love to thank her amazing friends for encouraging her to join because without them, shewouldhaveneverjoinedthisamazingfamily.
Isaac Zamora: Isaac joined tech theatre because he was Interested in exploring his interests, it’s a field in which he has never had experience in and found it interesting. In the play he is working with other lighting operators and coordinating sudden shifts of light to help create our play cometolife.Thisishisfirstshowbutdefinitelynotthelast.
LunaDuque:ThisisLuna’sfirsttimeworkingonashowfor theatre. Luna has always had a love for musicals such as Hamilton, Heathers, Mean girls, and Mamma Mia. She is super excited to be taking on the role of a lighting operator forTheLightningThief.

Alyssa Urbina: Alyssa Urbina is excited to be a apart of this production of The Lightning Thief as a stagehand! Alyssa is in her junior year and first started out as an usher for the Drama club productions her Sophmore year 2022. She has also been apart of stage crew since January of this year ! She wishes nothing but the best for her and her fellow cast and crew and is excited to show the blood sweat and tears her and her crew have put into this show. Alyssa hopes everyone enjoystheshow!
Haidee Tapia: Haidee got into theater because it seemed like a fun thing to do and a chance to meet amazing people, and she was right! The people in theater are kind, funny and greattobearound.Haideeisexcitedtoworkintheshowand lovestoworkonanythingshecando.
Lyza Adasa: Coming from a family of musicians, Lyza was practically born into the performing arts. She’s been drumming since the age of 10 and is used to being the one on stage, but she wanted a change in scenery and decided to work behind the scenes as a techie. She first undertook this role last spring in “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” and came back for "The Green Bird" this fall. Since then, she has grown a fondness towards the art and couldn't pass up the chance to continue working with the school's wonderful troupe. She’d like to give a special thanks to all of the members and Ms. Loffredo for always putting their all as we workedontheshow.

Igusti Wiyasa: Igusti Wiyasa is totally hyped about being a stagehandintheLightningThief!Sheis17yearsoldandhas been a part of the troupe since sophomore year. Her first introduction to theatre was in elementary school, listening to soundtracks of musicals in her free time. Igusti knows that everyone has been working so hard and hopes the troupe's talentcanreallyshinewiththisproduction.
IsobelKukoff:IsobelKukoffisthrilledtobeassistingbehind the scenes with technical support and props in this year’s productionofPercyJacksonandTheLightningThief.Issyis a 14-year-old freshman with a strong interest in visual, theatrical, and culinary arts. Issy would like to thank her fellow members, Emily, and Aubrey for helping her join the club, additionally Anto, Lorenz, and Stef for showing her the ropes and getting her here today. Ronny Orozco: Ronny enjoys art, music, and sketching. He assists backstage as a stagehand in setting up scenery and props for the show. Ronny became interested in theater because he wanted to learn more about creating sketches, constructing sets, and organizing shows. He showed interest in joining theatre after learning about it from one of his friends. This is Ronny’s second show and he is looking forwardtohavingagreattimeandlearningfromit.

Barbara Litwak: This production of The Lightning Thief musical marks as Barbara's second time working as stage manager and overall the fourth show she's worked at in MBSH. The Green Bird one-act earlier in 2022 was her first experience as stage manager, she's also worked as an Assistant Stage Manager, Costume Designer and stagehand sofar.Barbarahopestocontinueworkingasatechnicianfor the mbsh drama club and thespian troupe for the rest of her highschool career, and has had the greatest time in these last twoyears:)!The castandcrew haveworked incredibly hard for this production, so she would like to mention she is incredibly proud of them all and can't wait for opening night!!
