About MS Ramaiah Medical College: The MS Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore was founded in 1979 and is located in M S Ramaiah Nagar, Bengaluru, and Karnataka. It is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka, and is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI).
The College offers degrees in MBBS, MD and MS in all specialities, DM and MCH in the super specialities, PG Diploma and PhD courses as well as Bachelors (BPT), Masters (MPT) and PhD in Physiotherapy.
The college offers undergraduates the prospect to visit foreign universities with which it has signed MOUs. As part of RMC’s exchange and collaboration enterprises, foreign students also visit the campus every year. The students are allowed to be a part of the Community Orientation Programme (COP).
In 2020, the college maintained its previous year’s position of 30 in NIRF ranking for Medical category. It has also been ranked 27 by India Today in 2020. It is both NABH and NAAC accredited (A Grade).
The college offers a plethora of facilities indispensable to the Medical training of the students. Some of the facilities include a Medical Skills Lab, a Cadaveric Research & Training Unit, an advanced multimedia section with a 100 person seating capacity to witness medical procedures virtually. The Central Library museum houses five primary departments, one each of Anatomy, Microbiology, Pathology, Pharmacology and Forensic Medicine. It has its medical hospital, namedRamaiah Medical College Hospital, too. Hostel facilities are available for both girls and boys.

Ramaiah Medical College MBBS and BPT Admission 2022
Ramaiah Medical College offers MBBS and BPT courses of 4.5 years duration each plus one year of compulsory rotating internship for MBBS and 6 months of compulsory rotating internship for BPT.
To be eligible for MBBS course, candidates should have passed 10+2 examination with 50% aggregate marks in PCB along with English as a subject. For BPT program, candidates should have obtained 50% marks in the 10+2 Examination along with PCB as compulsory subjects.
For admission to MBBS program, all seats are allocated based on rank in NEET (UG) examination and centralized counselling. For BPT program, candidates are selected based on merit in the qualifying examination.
Ramaiah Medical College MPT, MD, MS, PG Diploma Admission 2022
Ramaiah Medical College offers MD Program in 17 disciplines with total intake capacity of 68 students and MS Program in 5 disciplines with intake capacity of 22 students. It offers PG Diploma course in 7 disciplines having a total capacity of 18 students. The duration of MD/MS course is for three years and the duration of PG Diploma Course is two years. It also offers an MPT course with 5 elective combinations and has intake capacity of 20 students. The duration of MPT Program is two years with 6 months compulsory rotating internship.
For MD/MS and PG Diploma courses, candidates should have obtained MBBS degree from a college recognized by the Medical Council of India. For MPT course, candidates should have obtained BPT degree.
For admission to MD/MS and PG Diploma Course, seats are allocated on the basis of rank obtained in NEET PG. For MPT course, selection is based on marks secured in the qualifying examination.
