Our commitment

We are committed to reducing the impact of our activities on the environment to an absolute minimum.

The final aim is to be carbon neutral by 2050.

Context

We have monitored, measured and modified all activities carried out across both shipyards to ensure a continuous reduction that includes the implementation of electric power alarms, consumption monitoring and automation systems, all seeking to maximise efficiency.

In accordance with the continuous investment policy in our facilities, we have been able to focus efforts on innovative solutions to reduce our carbon footprint effectively. All yachts are provided with shore power connection to the electric grid, supplied by 100% renewable sources, thus eliminating the need to use their own generators. In addition, diesel heaters have been replaced and photovoltaic panels have now been installed in both shipyards.

The installation of photovoltaic panels means energy produced can contribute directly to both shipyards. In addition, energy saving devices have been installed, such as LED lights in the offices and in a repair shed in La Ciotat, as well as light sensors/timers in the toilets and corridors. With the aim to reduce heat loss in paint works, the first few metres of the pipes used to blow hot air during the painting process have been replaced with insulated pipes. Actions completed

Installation of 124 kWp solar panels in our Barcelona facilities.

Completion of electrification project in the Barcelona facilities enabling all yachts to be connected to shore power supplied by 100% green

energy.

Availability of a fleet of bicycles for staff personal use in the shipyard or for local journeys.

Standardisation of aerothermal energy use in paintworks to eradicate the use of diesel heaters.

Actions in progress

Periodical renovation of the offices and buildings to improve insulation and integrate smart technology.

Upgrade of all internal and external lighting to energy-efficient LED. Design and construction of an auxiliary module that will contain a frequency converter for the current 6.6kV mobile transformer substation.

Expansion of charging points for electric vehicles within the shipyards.

Gradual replacement of company vehicles to electric/hybrid with complete fleet upgraded by 2024. Expansion of the photovoltaic panel installation with additional 300 kWp inside the Barcelona facilities. Replacement of combustion vehicles and machinery with electric or hydrogen alternatives.

Installation of flexible photovoltaic panels on top of paint tents.

Installation of more energy-efficient office air cooling and heating systems.

Future actions | Energy transition

Use of energy consumption monitoring systems including new features such as alarms and automisation systems to maximise efficiency.

Implementation of the Power BI consumption and electricity generation control software. Purchase of an electric generator powered by hydrogen or alternative renewable fuel sources.

Substitution of gasoil for lowcarbon fuels (obtained through circular economy practices: recycling of waste such as animal fat, sewage sludge, used oils, wood splinters, etc.). Implementation of renewable energy sources in the aerothermal system for paint works.

Purchase of a mobile battery module for energy storage.

Paint project trial with “Sandwich Panel” technology – A tenting system providing energy savings and eradicating the use of plastic. Purchase of an an electric tender transporter to replace the current one that runs on diesel.

Design/construction of a third 6.6kV

mobile transformer substation

with the addition of an auxiliary module that will contain a frequency converter and a dual-voltage input for use in France.

Future actions | Carbon footprint measurement and offsetting

Selection of appropriate Blue Carbon offset project for MB92 emissions.

Automatisation of the carbon

footprint calculation of both company operations and projects.
