RAMADAN POLICIES 1. Parking Logistics: 1.

ICF shall constitute a parking team comprised of volunteers. In addition, ICF shall also hire 3rd party service professionals (such as city police) on need basis.

2.

The core parking team shall comprise of up to 5 personnel. One of them will be their designated leader.

3.

ICF will maintain a list of parking volunteers along with the core members. Standby members will be asked to fill in on need basis.

4.

The number of parking crew at a given occasion will depend upon the availability of members, need (2 to 5 at a time), expected crowd, and event.

5.

The parking team duties will manage parking and traffic flow during special events, Friday prayers, Eid prayers, Ramadan especially at Maghrib and Isha/ tarawih’s, and anytime a larger than normal crowd is anticipated.

6.

ICF will schedule working hours for these volunteers, notify them of their shifts, and seek confirmation.

7.

The parking team will be provided distinctly identifying clothing (waist coat, jacket), and tools (such as rain jacket, rubber shoes, flash lights during night, whistle, 2-way radios, note pad, etc.)

8.

If the 3rd party professionals are hired (such as police), then they will be mostly to direct inflow-outflow of traffic and ICF own volunteers to supervise the en-premise routing and parking.

9.

ICF shall secure parking permission at Costco and HD ahead of events.

10. ICF shall announce to congregants to follow the direction of its volunteers including parking staff.

Parking team Duties/ Responsibilities: 1.

Will meet prior to the actual event (say before Ramadan) in presence of ICF shura member at ICF to go over the event logistics and each person’s assignment.

2.

Will create temporary marking (lanes, parking lot closed sign, section closed, etc.)

3.

Will open/ close parking over-flow parking sections based on capacity, fill, and ambient conditions such as rain.

4.

Will decide the best traffic flow for the event – one-way entrance or both ways in, one entrance/ one exit or both entrance/ exits. Default is normal flow. If a special routing is considered, then ICF shall notify all in advance via emails, website, social media, in-prayer announcements.
