INTRODUCTION
The aim of water conservation is to reduce unnecessary water usage and the practice of using water efficiently. Ninety seven percent of our planet is covered in saltwater which is not potable, the remaining 2.7% of water is in glacier form, groundwater, 0.3% water that is potable can be found in rivers, freshwater lakes and atmosphere. Mumbai with its population of over 1.25+ crores, receives its drinking water supply from 7 lakes. The city receives 3100 million litres per day(MLD) against its demand for 3900 MLD.
Water conservation management encompasses the policies, strategies, and activities made to manage water as a sustainable resource, conserve water, and meet current and future human demands.
Aim:
Poster for book: Poster illustrates zero day as bomb for Mumbai, and reason for it are untreated wastewater, Rainwater wastage, Low green scape, uneven supply of water.

The main aim of the research is to sensitise the common man by creating awareness through water awareness park to spread awareness about conservation, wise use, alternative ways to generate water and how we can contribute to reduce, reuse and reclaim usage of water.
Objective:
● To study and understand different approaches toconserve water.
● To study and understand why floods occur in Mumbai.

whole year 30% water is wasted in Non revenue water which is theft, leakages, evaporation this calls for water tanker where some tankers steal water and this creates water scarcity in respective area this visious cycle is repeated again and again.
What can be done to satisfy need of water?
• Spreading awareness about water and its use.
• Reclaiming water.
• Reduce wastage.
• Rivers used as water source- discourage to put plastic waste- respect water.
• Rainwater harvesting, Recharging ground water tableflood minimizes.

• There are no proper cycling and jogging tracks and meditation space for young and elderly people.
• since the site is surrounded by NDZ it has opportunities to use uninturupted airflow and continous sunlight.
• Nullah water released in creek without treating and hence contaminating sea water, hence it can be treated naturally on site and the process can be showcased.
• Next to major highway gives opportunity to be seen.
• Uninterupted views all around the site.
• Very easily accesible from train, bus and rickshaw.

Design idealogy: Keeping wetlands as it is, and designing around it without hampering it, that will still welcome herons. And the form is fludic and merges with site, so that herons won’t feel alienated.

Design idealogy: Interactive modules are curated where children and adults will know how much it’s hard to fill a bucket, by them filling a bucket (practical game), and where in same place people can just turn on a simple tap and use the water as they want to.

Underground exploratorium 2
Design idealogy: People can get knowledge to grow agricultral products by only using 10% of conventional farming through aeroponics workshop. Water vortex/ element is not only a attraction but also helps to aerate water that helps to promote the growth of aerobic bacteria that are beneficial bacteria that require oxygen to survive and thrive. These bacteria can help to break down organic matter and pollutants in water, including ammonia, nitrogen, and phosphorus. By promoting the growth of aerobic bacteria, aeration can help to improve the overall quality of water or wastewater.

Design idealogy: Main reason to design this space underground is to show a live expample of what concretization is causing by preventing ground water percolation, and show why ground water percolation can help to reduce floods. In this space future innovations are placed showing how water can be generated i.e dessalination, generating water from moisture, air to drinking water coolers etc.

People are shown how monitoring devices can help save water.
Recycling plastic
Plastic and garbage is taken out from nullah and processed to make petroleum that can be used as cooking fuel.
Water from nullah is treated in this STP and then sent to natural filtration process, throughout the site.
Design idealogy: 1st process of cleaning water is through chemicals (HnG company product klar 1000 is used as coagulant) this water is taken from nearby nullah. The plastic is removed and processed to make petroleum.
Games that provide knowledge of water cycle and saving water is introduced.
