PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS C A R E E R P R E PA R AT I O N The MSF is a 10-month, 36-credit-hour program offering a professional degree and a depth of finance knowledge that exceeds most MBA programs. It places an emphasis on practical finance skills and experiential learning. This unique combination of hands-on learning and a solid theoretical framework gives students a leg up on the competition. The program is open to all majors. It’s ideal for STEM undergraduates seeking careers in the highly rewarding field of finance.
S TAT E - O F - T H E - A R T FA C I L I T I E S Mays Business School offers classrooms, seminar rooms and computer labs equipped with the latest teaching and research technology. A central feature is the Reliant Trading Center (RTC), which gives students access to analytical tools and volumes of real-time and historical financial data. The facility is outfitted with Bloomberg terminals, along with several other state-of-the-art trading and risk management software and technologies.
THE AGGIE FINANCE CONNECTION The program has strong ties to the global finance community, bolstered by an extensive network of former students, advisory board members and executive professors. These connections include companies like Bain & Co., Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Keefe, Bruyette & Woods, Phillips 66, and Tudor Pickering Holt & Co. These ties are strengthened by the school’s rock solid reputation among employers nationwide. The Mays undergraduate program was ranked 3rd among U.S. public schools and 5th overall in Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2014 Employer Survey. When you combine these factors with the reach and loyalty of the Aggie Network, the Mays MSF delivers unrivaled career potential, including opportunities for pre-internships prior to entering the program.
P E R S O N A L , H I G H - I M PA C T EXPERIENCE The MSF program admits a highly selective group of students each year. Our small cohort enables students to interact one-on-one with world class professors and participate in small group settings with classmates. Students also enjoy high-impact learning experiences with industry practitioners. The program’s executive professors bring vast finance industry experience to the classroom and include veterans of Goldman Sachs and Deutsche Bank, as well as the chief investment officer of the $100 billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas. Students also benefit from frequent in-class guest speakers, representing iconic firms such as Fidelity Investments. MSF STUDENT: Ariel Barnett
