WHAT DOES A SUPPLY CHAIN PROFESSIONAL DO ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS? Professionals could work in a variety of functions including purchasing, logistics, new product development, global sourcing and procurement, quality management, inventory control or traffic analysis, operations, and supplier relationship management.

Day-to-day activities focus around planning and forecasting, purchasing, product assembly, moving, storage, distribution, sales, and customer service.

I joined Aggie Supply Chain Professionals (ASCP) my sophomore year, which allowed me to form positive professional relationships with recruiters from some of the largest companies in the country. Being an officer in ASCP helped me to secure my internship for the summer of my junior year, which led to my full-time offer for following graduation.
