How to Reset Apple id password in iphone 7



Reset your password

 

Go to your Apple ID account page and click Forgot Apple ID or password.

 



Enter your Apple ID, select the option to reset your password, then click Continue.

 



After you enter your Apple ID, you can see how to reset your password depending on the security features that you're using with your account.



Answer your security questions



If you know the answers to your security questions, select "Answer security questions" and follow the steps to reset your password



.



Get an email



If you select "Get an email," they’ll send an email to your primary email address that you can use to reset your password.



Use two-factor authentication

 

If you have two-factor authentication enabled for your Apple ID, you can reset or change your password directly from your trusted iPhone or Mac with a device passcode enabled.

 

Make sure that your device is up to date and using iOS 10 or later.

 

Open the Settings app.

 

If you’re already signed in to iCloud, tap [your name] > Password & Security > Change Password. Follow the onscreen steps. If your device has a passcode, you'll be asked to enter it, then choose a new password.

 



If you're not signed in to iCloud, tap Forgot Password on the Sign in screen. Follow the onscreen steps.

Use two-step verification  

If you set up two-step verification, you will need your recovery key and a trusted device to reset your password. Follow these steps after you enter your Apple ID on iforgot.apple.com:

 

Enter your Recovery Key.Choose a trusted device. We'll send your device a verification code.

 

Enter the verification code.

 

Set a new password and select Reset Password.

 



If you permanently lost your recovery key or access to your trusted device, you can't change your password.
