In 2021, a diverse group of young Woodruff County citizens recognized that there were many opportunities for young people to help better the community in which we live MAYPA was founded on the notion that McCrory and the surrounding areas are great places to live and raise families. We believe that everyone should come together and help where and when needs arise From school support to economic development to community revitalization, MAYPA is an avenue for young people in our area to find ways to volunteer and contribute I am thankful that I get to raise my daughters in such an amazing place that is full of wonderful people. I am proud to be from McCrory and am proud of what this organization is doing for our area We hope you will join us!

MAYPA IMPACT
The impact of MAYPA comes from its members prioritizing their community By giving back to the community through food drives, special events, helping at Vacation Bible School, and even spending countless hours coaching, our MAYPA members strive to show a strong sense of unity By working together with a common goal, MAYPA members prove that great things can be accomplished and a better future can be built for everyone

Members collected cereal boxes and McCrory Area Young Professionals donated a total of 60 + cereal boxes for the Woodruff County Extension office “Summer Cereal Drive” that was held between June 1 and July 19th These cereal boxes are being distributed during Augusta Schools Open House. The community's collective effort ensured families in need would have access to nutritious breakfast options as the new school year began.

The MAYPA food drive took place throughout June and July, where members and community residents gathered non-perishable food items for the two local blessing boxes at McCrory (Methodist Church) and Patterson (Baptist Church). These boxes were stocked with canned goods, pasta, rice, and essential items to offer immediate assistance to numerous families.
We urge the community to continue donating to the blessing boxes by grabbing a few items from the store and donating to the boxes when the opportunity arises.
