Welcome As the weather cools and nights grow longer, it’s important to have engaging activities and programs lined up that bring people together, spark connection, and keep our community feeling warm and vibrant through the winter months.

We’re excited to offer a brand new program called Texts for our Time. It’s a Lehrhaus-style Jewish learning and discussion group meeting at Cafe Alma. These gatherings bring people together to exchange ideas, learn about new Jewish topics, mine ancient text to see what can be brought to life for us today. The learning is open to all seekers, regardless of identity, experience, or background!

Back by popular demand, we are having another Jewish Community Night at the Cyclones! Mark your calendars and join us Downtown for all the action on the ice.

Maintaining your fitness journey is key! Join us for invigorating classes like our various Pilates classes and Commit to be Fit: The Next Level.

Our annual Jewish and Israeli Film Festival is back, featuring captivating films screened in theatres across Cincinnati, and including virtual viewings of select films. Whether in community or cozy at home, we hope you enjoy the festivities.

JANUARY: PAUSE AND RESET

This Pilates group training will restore and renew muscles through a combination of targeted stretches. The workout will connect body-mindspirit, focusing on breathing to engage in a fullbody workout. This group welcomes beginner and intermediate levels.

After the hectic and stressful holiday season, take time for yourself to pause and reset. This class will combine gentle, healthy movement with stretching and anchor you to your breath.

FITNESS FUNDAMENTALS

Ages 16+ January 5-February 11 February 17 - March 25 J Members: Starting at $156 Public: Starting at $216 Fitness Fundamentals teaches proper technique and form while delivering a full-body workout.

Each week will focus on a different exercise concept: strength vs. cardio, dynamic vs. static stretching, injury prevention, and training types such as HIIT, Tabata, and EMOM.

SPORTS PERFORMANCE TRAINING PROGRAM Ages 12+ J Members: $25 per class Public: +$10 per class after 12 classes One-hour sessions; minimum 4-week commitment. Best results are seen year-round. However, we see strong improvement at 12 - 24 sessions.

Our Sports Performance Training Program uses high-speed treadmill, turf, and track drills to prepare you for your best season. Focus on speed, agility, running form, strength, and core training.

Includes plyometrics and skill assessments for progress.

Pickleball is a fast-growing sport that combines tennis and table tennis into a fast-paced, exciting game. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player, we have a spot for you!

This Pickleball Instruction course is designed for the new or beginning level player. You have heard about pickleball and have always wanted to play. Here's your opportunity to learn how to play, learn the rules, and keep score! Equipment is provided.

Swim Lessons at the J

We offer year-round swimming lessons for all ages and abilities.

Our aquatics program is designed to teach personal water safety and stroke development. All lessons are taught by certified instructors. Group lessons cannot be prorated or refunded due to limited class capacity.

Registration is from November 21 - December 21 and lessons will run from January 4 - March 7.

They defer their Israeli Defense Forces service to spend a year here doing community service, helping Cincinnatians build a deeper awareness of and connection to the land, culture, and people of Israel.

When Dr. Ruth Westheimer heard the Surgeon General declare an epidemic of loneliness in this country, she knew she could help. She experienced loneliness early in life after being orphaned by the Holocaust at age ten, and again at age 20 when she was seriously wounded in a bomb blast in the West Bank.

Wednesdays 10:30 - 11:30am | Mayerson JCC Instructor: Ralph Dehner This ongoing Tai Chi program helps with arthritis, balance, and memory. Learn an ancient Yangstyle short form. Beginners are always welcome.

Fridays 9:30 - 10:30am | Mayerson JCC Instructor: Tina Topping Learn how to shake those hips in this fun, beginner-friendly Belly Dancing class! Tina will teach you all the fundamentals for a low-impact, aerobic workout.

513.722.7255 Our transportation services provide independence and access to many of the activities that contribute to a better quality of life.

513.761.7500 x1218 Membership to the 60 & Better Center allows seniors ages 60+ to participate in any programs offered by the 60 & Better Center. Membership to the 60 & Better Center costs $50 per individual and $90 per couple for the calendar year.

Services, including rides to and from the JCC, are subject to driver availability.
